Depends on which game you know the rules of better.

Id say FIFA is easier to play because you can play it more like the real sport.

I think it's more frustrating than madden though because it's more advanced as a game and still is completely shallow. The fact you can't adjust tactics to counteract some of the horrible AI is beyond frustrating, while with madden you can play it for the game it is. I choose not to and end up being super frustrated lol

If you know the fundamentals of NFL football as well as you do normal football FIFA is the easier game overall.

If you're going in blind to both sports FIFA is also easier but you'll get better at the 'game' with Madden if that makes sense?

I have to agree with you to a point. If your just playing a general pickup game Fifa is much easier because the rules are much simpler (put the ball in the net). I have never played a minute of soccer in my life and only watch it when the WC is on but I am able to pick up a Fifa game and be fairly successful against average opponents or the CPU.

I have never played Fifa; but in what I know of Madden and how bad the defenses play, and how much user adjustments it takes to run a semi effective defense, Madden would be the hardest to learn.
