Supersim, may be to blame - but we have had similar things in leagues where I know the game was being played - the CPU never adjusts to your "glitchery dickery dock" so if you find a couple of "nanos" you can dominate the CPU on defense.

I would love to see the option you are asking for too, if only because I want to see way more user/commish options as toggles...

stop the bug where if your team scores over 250 points in a game, in franchise mode the other team for some reason gets the win, the game drops off the first 2 rows of points. So if you won 257-35, the game says the other team won and the score would be 7-35, its whack

i actually do play on all madden, i dont play any defence and just super sim, all i do is throw wide reciever double screens or audible to a read option with michael vick as the qb. Meh, it doesnt get boring because i look at it as im just playing for legacy score, its fun to me, i just want to get my franchise to $2 billion, i did it one in 16 seasons.

Madden devs seem to add major gameplay features based on the popular trends in the NFL the past season. Last year, they made the read option a prevalent feature of Madden (which was silly because at most, it was used only sparingly by teams). I'm hoping with the #1 D throttling the #1 O in the super bowl, they will focus on bringing defense back in the game. That is my optimistic guess.

With Sherman getting as much publicity as he did hopefully , HOPEFULLY, we finally get some wr/DB interaction thats worthwhile.

defense has to get better. need better man to man off coverage. qbs are too accurate. pockets need to form properly. theres a million things that could be better.

Re: Looking ahead to Madden 15

                      Three major things need implemented.

                      1) Make the higher difficulties harder. Madden 25 and every Madden before that have been an absolute joke. I end up beating the CPU by 50 on the hardest difficulty with the hardest sliders. Maybe I'm just one of the best Madden players that's ever lived, but I doubt it. Fix the difficulty and the sliders. I need a challenge against the CPU. I'm sick of going undefeated and never having more than 2 losses any given year. It's boring.

                      2) This is probably of equal importance to #1. Implement offensive and defensive coordinators into this game. If NCAA has it, there's no reason Madden, which only has 32 teams, shouldn't have it as well. I'd much rather be an offensive coordinator than a head coach and work my way up. Hell, I'd rather be the QB coach and work my way up if you want to know the truth. If I could start out as a position coach and consistently receive new job offers (position coach, then coordinator, then head coach) there's no doubt that'd increase the replay value of the game as well as the fun I get out of it. Also it'd decrease the chances that when I get fired/leave a team, I wouldn't have to retire my character everytime I don't get new job offers because I could accept a lower position.

                      3) FIX THE SCHEMES. If I choose a team that currently runs a 3-4, but when I create my new coach I want them to run a 4-3, it still has a nose guard and 4 linebackers in the schemes menu. The same goes for the opposite scenario. This is a major screw up on EA's part. Fix it in the new game.

Like anything with EA, it happens once in real life and then it should happen 50 thousand times in the game. Like the year Tyree made the helmet catch (same year Brett Favre first came out of retirement?), the following year 1 out of 5 catches at least resulted in a Tyree style helmet catch for me. And Brett Favre happened to come out of "retirement" a few times. Therefore, every single NFL player must retire 7 years to early to maybe come out of retirement 3 years later and play another 5 years. Other than Brett Favre, I can't think of really any other notable players to come out of retirement.
I entirely agree with this other than the fact that many people consider Favre having retired and coming back whereas he would always just contemplate it for a few off seasons in a row until summer and then play.He never missed a season in between.

The thought of Peyton coming out of retirement and playing for the Raiders,Ray Lewis for the Steelers or Brady for the Jets is unappealing.Champ Bailey shouldn't be coming out of retirement in 2025 but remain the same age as he is now.

Many good points to be made but this kills it and the generated draft classes with positional ratings issues.I'm still playing '12 because of the stability and freedom I have and the ability to edit to get accurate draft classes.

Now that NCAA Football is dead (for now) we're going to need custom draft classes like NBA 2k has and like NFL 2k5 had. I wouldn't mind if they threw in a draft playable combine like Madden 07-11 had on the PS2.

Re: Looking ahead to Madden 15

Weather is jacked up in Franchise Mode. I played the Chicago Bears in week 17 and it was 35 degrees. I'm like really! Chicago is always in the 10's or below during Decemeber and January. I played Green Bay in a playoff game there and the same thing mid 30's temperature. I think we should have the option to chose the weather because it's unrealistic for cold weather teams to not have inclement weather during hard days of winter. Gameplay should reflect the weather conditions. Pam Oliver or who ever is the sideline reporter should report on the conditions on the field and say Aaron Rodgers changed to a longer cleat due to the conditions on the field etc.

Everyone has some great ideas but my guess is only one of these will make it in the game. Also if we don't get custom draft classes, give us the option to continue import NCAA 14 draft classes since I know I will still be playing the game in July like a few others. With a few of you all great ideas and NCAA 14 import I may buy the game if not Madden 25 it is for me.
