I'm updating (creating) a roster update for the PS2 since the EA team assigned to PS2 decided not to work on them. Just so you guys know, PS2 is not like PS3, the so called revamped roster for PS3 doesn’t work the same in PS2, the players coming from the draft classes are rated higher than those on the PS3 version. The EA team took the same PS3 ratings and put them on the PS2 overlooking this aspect of the game, if you don't update them after you go though the draft your upcoming rookies 7th round picks will be rated about the same as the 1-2 round picks on the roster as is, i.e. TB QB Freeman 19th pick overall is 73 rating, if you keep him that low at first imported or not imported draft most 6-7 round players will be rated 75-65.
What I'm going to do on my roster update is create ceilings and bottoms for all ratings on all positions. Overall rating ceiling is 99 and the bottom is 75 for an unknown starter and 74-69 for non-starter unknown and players that make the team on the practice squad (I will not make more than 5 of this players per team).
Other examples of the rating overhaul that I'm going to performs are:
QB arm strength will be 99-80
HB spd 99-81 str 85> stamina 70>
WR spd 99-81 hand 99-75 str 80> stam 85>
TE spd 88> str 88-60 stam 70>
OL str 99-86 stam 70>
DE (3-4 OLB) spd 88-60 str 90-72 stam 60>
DT spd 79> str 99-86 stam 50>
LB spd 90-75 str 85-66 stam 75>
CB spd 99-86 str 70> stam 80>
FS spd 94-80 str 75-58 stam 75>
SS spd 90-78 str 75-58 stam 75>
K-P kp-a 99-80 stam 40
Free agents pool will not gave any player rated higher than 75 (when the NFL season start)
Questions and Ideas are welcome.
