    Jerrod Johnson - 51 OVR, 47 AWR, 83 THP, 69 THA, 55 SHORT, 62 MED, 43 DEEP, 7th round Bills
    Ryan Mallett - 67 OVR, 57 AWR, 88 THP, 72 THA, 70 SHORT, 81 MED, 66 DEEP, 3rd round Browns
    Jake Locker - 80 OVR, 65 AWR, 94 THP, 82 THA, 73 SHORT, 86 MED, 70 DEEP, 1st round Cardinals
    Andrew Luck - 80 OVR, 63 AWR, 95 THP, 83 THA, 85 SHORT, 83 MED, 69 DEEP, 1st round Packers
    Christian Ponder - 72 OVR, 42 AWR, 91 THP, 87 THA, 79 SHORT, 76 MED, 78 DEEP, 2nd round Raiders
    Case Keenum - 61 OVR, 52 AWR, 85 THP, 77 THA, 73 SHORT, 68 MED, 61 DEEP, 5th round Seahawks
    Tyrod Taylor - 65 OVR, 39 AWR, 80 THP, 68 THA, 79 SHORT, 81 MED, 65 DEEP, 4th round Titans

A pretty big difference in ratings I must say. The draft logic is not fixed at all. Luck to Packers in round 1 (pick 10) with Rodgers healthy won't happen.

Tyrod Taylor's ratings in the RB categories was in between 88-92 including speed.
you should try that out some more. like test the same class in multiple franchises and see how much they vary, and mess around with some more stats and positions and whatnot, that would be great if you were on to something.

after reading thru this whole thread, so far, i've notice a couple of gamers have taken the time to make some edits to the players
            **YOU HAVE TO DO THAT**

the default ncaa ratings are set for ncaa speed/strength, throw pwr, etc.

you have to spend a lot time manipulating player ratings, even changing positions (depending on the off/def scheme they play in) in order to get realistic imported player ratings

I.E. - the one player i had the biggest problem with last year was Eric Berry, then i had the wild idea to move him to SS, he came out top5 to top10 every time after that...do i understand why it worked?? NO, but it worked

trust me me gents, there are improvements, and i know what a previous poster was saying about prince akamura, before i started making edits, he was ALWAYS my number 1 CB and a top 5 player averaging an OVR between 82-85 every import i did

***again, you have to edit & manipulate, and it takes time to say the least***

Come on guys, there's a multiquote option on the forum. Why do we keep posting 4 times in a row?

Seems Ryan Mallett can't get above 89 THP. I know arm strength isn't always the same from college to pro (the hashmark difference has exposed many arm strengths) but Mallett has the strongest arm in college football, right? Why is this consistently below a 90 (which can be considered the 'cannon arm' range).

At least you guys have had luck in getting all of these top players to actually enter the draft. I'd say each season I sim I only ever get 5 or so of the possible top 10-15 players to not just graduate.

I've done 10 different draft classes so far and have yet to get Locker to come out.

Re: Imported Draft classes translate the worst EVER

Ok, for anyone interested here is how I am dong my draft class dynasty. First time around I am not editing any ratings or measurables (height and size). I am using the OS community rosters.

My goal is to get the offensive skill players ranked really high in Madden 11. It is very difficult to affect the outcome of defensive players even if you adjust the defensive coaching philosophy. It is easy to get offensive stats simmed the way you want. On the other hand, it would take forever to sim a defensive player to have a certain amount of sacks or INTs. Basically the only variables of a defensive player's rating I can control are his ratings, measurables, and the record of his team (yes, I have found this to play a role in the process).

So my focus when selecting the user teams is to make sure the top projected QBs, RBs, and WRs get insane stats. This is relatively easy to do as you only need to adjust the offensive coaching philosophy. A huge change from NCAA 10 to 11 is that when you turn off injuries the game turns off sim injuries as well. This saves a lot of time as sim injuries could not be turned off in NCAA 10. One thus had to simulate each week individually as a team's quarterback was sure-fire to get hurt thus lowering his stats, thus lowering his Madden 10 draft status.

                      - I tried to use 12 teams with lots of NFL prospects, or a top NFL prospect: Alabama (for Ingram), Arkansas (for Mallet and Childs), Florida, Georgia, Miami, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Stanford (for Luck), Texas, USC, and Washington (for Locker)
                      - I adjusted the passing philosophy to the highest setting (85 out of 100) for Arkansas, Stanford, and Washington.
                      - As a result, Mallet, Lucky, and Locker all posted about 6,000 yards passing, about 50 or more TDs, and were all in the top 5 for the Heisman (Locker won). Greg Childs had nearly 2,100 yards receiving, 19 TDs and was a Heisman finalist for most of the season.
                      - I adjusted the running philosophy for Alabama to 85 as well. Ingram had nearly 2,300 yards rushing, 24 TDs (both led the NCAA), and finished fifth in the Heisman.
                      - Heisman finalist for my season where Locker, Luck, Potts (TCU), Mallet, and Ingram

Once I get to the end of the season I make a save. That way if the right players do not leave early I can re-load the franchise to make sure the right people leave, bad players stay, and I try and limit transfers from good teams being these types of players will be starters in a season or two.

I have yet to import my rosters yet to Madden. But I will post my results once I do.

Yep, forgot about that one too. Although, when you scout players for the draft in Madden, the only stat that matters for strength is bench reps. They list the squat (I don't believe they list broad jump) but squat seems to not affect strength at all. If a guy has 32 bench reps after scouting him, then he's guaranteed to have 90 strength. EA really needs to change the whole system for importing before we can have great draft classes. I'm cool with the overall numbers being lower, and I'm fine with some guys that you'd think would be drafted higher and have A potential, ultimately going in the 4th round and having a B potential... but there are some things that should stay the same, or at least very close to the same. For instance, there is no way Ryan Mallett is going to have an arm strength of 85 in next years Madden. Say in NCAA it's 99, then in Madden it shouldn't drop 14 points like it did in mine.

I recall reading a post from someone saying that they were coming up with a way to edit the draft files so that we could have accurate imports... but haven't heard anything about it in awhile. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Or did I just imagine it.

Re: Imported Draft classes translate the worst EVER

Many of us would like to have editable draft classes and rosters like are found in NBA 2k10. Then each fan could adjust things based on their perception or desired gameplay.

I'd like to have a way to edit how many times a player progresses in a season and what can improve. I would set it to have an increase after the regular season, preseason and midseason.

The ability to set different players offseason conditioning workouts would be great, say you want to get your rookie DE better at stuffing the run. You set that as a goal and it shows you that he will gain certain strength and block shed, but will be less agile and have a slower acceleration because he put on 20 pounds.

This could vary based on awareness and other intangible ratings. The low awareness player would just hit the buffet and get fat, seeing less gains and more loss than the high awareness/potential who followed his coaches instructions and lost little speed.

The changing of positions and goals could also change the potential of players. Like maybe you draft a TE that is 6'6 279 with great blocking skills, he comes in at 65 OVR with C potential. Not that great, but if you changed him to a RT his OVR would drop but his potential went to a B. A year of riding the bench and you come to his first offseason at RT, you set his goal of being an aggressive run blocker and he's finally at his best, his OVR jumps to a 79 and he's ready to be your new starting RT.

This would work great, give unique story lines to each franchise and would be exciting to watch how the CPU changed the players it drafted.

Re: Imported Draft classes translate the worst EVER

I have been reading a good amount of posts and seems to me this ncaa to madden system is terrible. However with that being said, i still love every bit of this feature and with a little time adjusting some ratings, height and weight, and offensive and defensive strategies, you can get some pretty awesome draft classes.

I've been doing this for 5 years now and like to get the real names draft into madden, sim 4 seasons and export and then have a fun PLAY NOW with future madden 2016 teams. So in doing this over the years ive noticed that madden loves its prototypical players (QB 6'4" 220, WR >6'3" 200 and so on). So the first thing to do is add some height and weight to those players that u think are going to be good. you can always change them after you get them into madden. Next ive found that stats and ratings are attempted to be kind of averaged to say. (99 thp 99 tha with 2000 yds 10 td 25 int = <70 and 90 thp 90 tha 5000 50 td 8 int = 80 - 85) This works very consistantly for me, but it is still kinda random. you need to take atleast 4-5 at every position per draft class and 60 - 80 % of the guys will translate pretty good into madden.

Let me know how your madden 2016 turns out, just make sure u user every madden team so u can draft the players that each team needs and so u can trade or sign free agents back to their correct teams.
