So are you guys creating vetrans that are not in the base roster (even though they will be all rookies?)

I really can't decide what to do wait for EA update, get this one and put up with created players as all rookies, ahhhhh EA make it so difficult give us a export import option and it's easy done!

I'll be creating whoever I need to. There's a myth about created vets being rookies. This isn't true. The reason you have to put in a d.o.b. is telling the game how old a player is. The only difference this year is you can't state how many years of exp they have. So if I recreate Ray Lewis with his d.o.b. in my franchise you really think he's going to play more instead of retiring right after because of his age? Think about it.

It would still have Ray Lewis listed as a rookie though and Ray Lewis would be going for rookie of the year in the first season of your franchise, yes your correct about DOB with retiring but that first year will be quite strange seeing a mid 30s player as a rookie.

Im thinking to wait for your roster if your creating who you need too and seeing your blazing through it I look forward to it! I can put up with vets as rookies

Just some Dolphins info if you guys wish to use it (I will let you handle the re-rates the way you are doing it).

FB Javorskie Lane cut so his 77 should come down as well (most likely in RB and in rushing ability).
TE - Egnew is not good and just hanging on to roster. Catching way too high at 81. He's been a bust and Sims should be #2 TE (he's not fast or agile but good blocker but does have good hands, may become starter before too long). Charles Clay's hands are inconsistent too. Catching too high and he should have drop open ball trait.

OL - J.Martin too low at 68. 73-75 better. Rookie LG D.Thomas should be about 65-67 (way too high at 74). RG Lance Louis cut.

DL - Pet peeve of mine. For two straight years EA has put Cam Wake as RE. I know he's listed as a RE in some depth charts out there and lines up once in awhile there but he's a LE! Vernon (way too low, breakout candidate 75 min) and Dion Jordan (tons of potential but 85 as rookie is too high, reduce tackle for one) are RE. Odrick is a starter and should be rated higher, Starks a bit too high (reduce run defense, he's actually 3rd now). Soliai is a terrible pass rusher but great traditional run stuffing NT. If you drop his power moves (80s way too high, maybe 70 although I don't know how other NTs are done) so he can't get many sacks it would be appreciated. He pass rush skills should be FAR lower than Starks and Odrick.

LB rookie Jelani Jenkins is not good. 69 way too high. low 60s better.

DBs - rookie J.Taylor a bit too high (although hurt most of camp, hard to know). Fellow rookie Will Davis out-performed him and is INT machine (but inconsistent - he's a gambler and gets beat). Patterson a bit too low imo.

K Sturgis is poorly done. Strong leg - hit a 58 yarder in pre-season and his kickoff average would have made him #1 in NFL based on last year's stats. Consistently getting good kicks. I'd raise his kick power and lower accuracy.

Would really help if someone with some time on his hands would take a team today. The quicker we can get the ratings done, the sooner we can move to creating the UDFAs

If not, I guess I know what my first madden project is...

You would have to take that up with the website but trust me it works out. If you play with these teams using xxkidvxx sliders I swear you will have the most realistic games you've ever played. There are so many new animations and there is no roboQB. The QBs throw way more errantic passes plus you can get a rush with your front four...don't take my word for it. Try it. I'll be doing AFC North within the next hour.

I totally agree with you that all-in-all the roster is much more realistic and I'm gonna d/l the slider you recommended.

But does anyone know how Mario Williams strength could be 49, while Jairus Byrd's strength is 56? Am I missing something?
