    Re: My Madden 12 sliders that prove the game is solid

    Well i' m still using 65 for the user and 100 for the CPU and my games are playing very well. As far as stats goes it's pretty close. I only play 5 or 7 min quarters.

    I' m getting around 250 total yards per game . Averaging around 40 yards rushing and 200 yards passing. I usually get 1-2 sacks per game and at least one turnover. The CPU is usually very close even as much as time of possession.

    For me, I love the very slow speed and 100 threshold. I'm sure it's a preference thing for me , but I love being able to perform multiple moves when I have the ball without everything being too fast.

      I'm still using these same sliders, celg35, and I'm having very competitive games when teams are nearly equal in ratings. I also struggle with weaker teams against strong teams, which is how it should be.

      These sliders have brought back the "fun factor" that has been missing from Madden since the Playstation 2 days. Thanks again for your hard work, and I can't wait for the first roster update so that I can start my first franchise (going to see what I can do with the Lions.)

        I'm still rolling along with your 62-100 sliders (very slow) from the demo with a few changes.

        I have lowered run blocking though to 60 as I'm tearing things up with Stephen Jackson and finding it a bit too easy.

        I also lowered human interceptions to 60 as I had 5 in the first two games and FWIW I never take over a LB or DB I strictly play as DE or DT.

        Speed threshold at 55. Just my preference and may be why I'm needing to lower run blocking? All I know is I watch replays of players in "pull away" situations and I am happy with what I see at 55. Take my last game I have Jackson trying to get to the corner with a Lb in pursuit. SJ gets a step and makes the corner is cut off by a S and CB and tackled with the LB coming in from behind for support. Even Jackson with ~90 speed, and the LB a 77, still didn't blow the LB away he just got the step and eased ahead of him.

        Tried a couple of other sets just to see what else was out there but have come back. They just play a great game of football for my ability.

            I have all the penalties at 55 Except roughing the passer. I have that at 54.

            I have auto subs for LB's, DT, DE, RB at 80/85. Cb's , Wr and TE are at 70/75
            Use thes subs with a fatigue of 75 and injuries at 35.

            Play clock is the default.

              Yeah I agree Don. I have tried the all madden sliders out there, but they don't give me the same feeling. Having certain slider numbers too low makes players move to quick at times. Besides, there something to be said when you can pick apart a defense with CPU sliders at 100 for pash rush, INT, and Defensive Awareness. It just seems like every play is not a gimme and you really have to adjust your blocking assignments , then hot route receivers to be successful .

                This is a slider set that produces great physics and weight to the players. The players will act intelligent and it will definitely give you a Madden experience like nothing else.

                The slider set is as follows:

                If you play on the PRO level use
                Human= 65. CPU= 100.
                Very slow speed. 100 threshold speed

                If you play on ALL PRO level use
                Human= 55. CPU=100
                Slow speed. 100 threshold speed

                If you play on ALL MADDEN level use
                Human= 50 CPU= 100
                Normal speed. 100 threshold speed

                (If your beast at madden lower your pass blocking to 45
                )

                * personally, I like the pro level

                Auto strafe and auto sprint are "off" for the pro level only!

                Good luck
                Just want some clarification on your settings.

                For example lets go with All madden

                "If you play on ALL MADDEN level use"
                Human= 50 CPU= 100
                Normal speed. 100 threshold speed

                All human sliders at 50?

                    Correct. This should give you a very challenging game. You can lower pass block to 45 .

                        No , I'm usually pressed for time, so I play 7 min with 20 sec runoff.

                          Finally broke down and gave the 100 threshold a shot. I had been using 55 and in previous versions of Madden or NCAA the highest I had ever used was 45. Just didn't think 100 was something that would work for me. I was wrong.

                          I expected the game to feel "held back" but it wasn't. Running game felt great and I even broke off a 58 yd run with Stephen Jackson. Passing the same, just felt good.

                          Someone also mentioned a few pages back they tried these with NCAA. I did that today using 60-100 and it played great. Will be using these for both Madden and NCAA.

                            Yeah ,I tried all the other sliders, but I still came back to my sliders. It just feels right. The passing game feels right. The threshold is spot on at 100. Thier is really very little room for separation unless you time throws and blocks just right. Very real and true to the NFL.

                            Somehow it just feels right completing a pass against a CPU with a pass reaction of 100. It just seems more satisfactory when you can juke or break out of a tackle with a CPU tackle slider at 100. Everything about these sliders just feels like I'm never cheated . I feel like every game is a challenge and that I have to be spot on with audibles , blocking assignments and hot routes.

                              Big props Celg for your sliders.
                              Every year its a huge pain for me to find some sliders which fit me, 1. because im not the best madden player and 2. cause i dont play games with 12-15min quarters. After finally finding a good slider set, i ended up changing many things.

                              Now ive used your sliders for Pro, since i dominate the cpu on pro but am unable to run an effective running attack and defense on all pro.

                              What can i say? They are so simple but work out really great.
                              Ive had some really realistic games, one time Peyton Hillis ran wild on me with two 80+ yard tds but they did not feel unfair because of the sliders, i knew, both wouldn't have happened if i had better coverage and without the mistakes i made.

                              But still there are two things which are fixable but i dont want to change it since i didnt made the sliders and dont really know how to tweak it right:

                              -Tackling: The same thing, we had a couple of threads about: Power Runners getting stopped in forward motion and simply not enough broken tackles
                              -Punt Returning: Since you didnt post any sliders for the special teams, im still running with the default sliders but im getting stuffed on punt returns after only a few yards. Even with a Punt Block Formation, the defensive guys are almost at my returner by the time he gets the ball

                                Yeah, I don't get a lot of broken tackles either and I use Stephen Jackson. Not really sure what an NFL back averages for broken tackles anyway so not sure if the few I get are realistic or not. The forward motion thing IMHO works pretty good if you time the hit stick right, at least with Jackson. Not sure I would try tweaking anything here even if I came up with a good fix. With stats and games playing well now it would probably take another tweak to get back to real stats as you would be adding yardage every time you broke a tackle you weren't getting before. YMMV.

                                With regard to punt returns, I play with the Rams and have Amandola who is rated pretty good as a returner. I too was having some trouble and found I really need to setup the first block. I try to get as close to my first blocker as possible and read the cover man coming in, anticipate what my blocker will do, and cut off of that block. I can usually get 6-9 yards, which is good for NFL standards and on occasion break off 15-20 yarders. Still haven't taken one back but I think it's just a matter of time. IMHO the return game is the best I've ever seen in a video game on both kick returns and punt returns.
