Is there a beginners guide to MUT. I just opened up my packs and doing thr weekly challenge, but not sure what I should sell, if I should hold guys back to not use their contacts etc. Sorry if making clutter in this thread, just didn't want to start a new one. Thanks.

Hey I'm pretty new to this to but here are some of my tips for you regarding your questions. My first tip is to make a "Contract Saving" lineup. Put all of your non starters that have 25 contracts and play through some of the lower level solos. For me I made a contract saving lineup and am playing through the gauntlet with them as far as I can. This will keep your best players from using up contracts and will save you some coins (because you would have to buy up contracts).

Secondly, unless you really like the player or the way he plays, I would sell him. These cards are at their peak value right now because more and more cards will come out and drive down their value. You could sell your good cards and reinvest to make more money.

Holy **** EA....

Just lost my seasons playoffs on a DC before the first snap.

Then face a dude who was raging hard because I usered him like 3 times...

What happens? His free Megatron pulls down 4 specs in a row with double coverage for 2 TD's then forces a ball into triple coverage and all my DB's just move out of the way and give him the game....

I had a shot to tie it. 1st and goal from the 9. Joe Horn drops a contested slant, Luck WAY overthrows a fade with NO pressure or movement penalty, Graham drops an option with late contact.

I went from 7-3 in seasons to 0-1.

I am stuck at All-Madden journey solos. I luck into a win 1 out of 4 maybe. Really eating my contracts. I have an awesome team, I just can't keep up with the computer

Stuck on the last All Pro Journey challenge. I can't find a way to stop the bronco's offense. I have an 81 ovr team with four elites: Dez bryant, Antonio Brown, Earl Thomas III, and Kyle Williams. I got Antonio for buying the upgraded version, Earl thomas from last years version, and Dez and Kyle grinding through the journey. Any defensive tips would be nice because Peyton Manning is picking me apart.

Stuck on the last All Pro Journey challenge. I can't find a way to stop the bronco's offense. I have an 81 ovr team with four elites: Dez bryant, Antonio Brown, Earl Thomas III, and Kyle Williams. I got Antonio for buying the upgraded version, Earl thomas from last years version, and Dez and Kyle grinding through the journey. Any defensive tips would be nice because Peyton Manning is picking me apart.

I got lucky on my 3rd try got a pick early and a long bomb TD to a receiver who was wide open. After that it was easy.

All madden is a mother....

For those struggling on defense what do you do pre-snap?? I always man align and I will press almost every down since I run a man defense. I also adjust double cover the WR1.

I also play the pass most downs unless it's an obvious rush or short/inches.

Pre-snap I play the pass mostly, but Peyton keeps hitting underneath. I try to mix it up man and zone, and he reads my mail every time. Im going to try your strategy. Thanks for the tip.

You can also adjust coverage to play the underneath routes, but if you're killed underneath you should press to bump the WR off their route.

I will not be spending any money this year.

My team's an 80 OVR as of last night thanks to pulling a second Shefter Gregory card out of the Pro Packs you get near the end of some Solo Challenges.

He's the only elite I have (I don't count my elite Patrick Peterson who is going to turn into a 70 at the end of the month).

Finally, thanks in part to JBH3, I finally made it through the last all pro journey challenge. I got lucky and won the first all madden challenge, but now I'm stuck on the 2nd one. These All Madden journey challenges are ridiculous!

Have messed around with MUT some while awaiting the patch. Completed all of the Prospect/Rookie journey and part of the Rookie gauntlet with a high-60's rated team. I've also done 7 of the 8 rookie team style challenges scraping together as many players of one team style that I could (run stuff is the only one I don't have). IF I wanted to throw all of my best players in a lineup that have contracts expired, the team would probably rate as a mid-high 70.

I only spent money on one thing - the single 2 for 1 pro pack offer that we're allowed (that's $1.50 for two packs). I will only spend on similarly good deals like that - cheap offers with potentially good value. I also pre-ordered, so I'm getting those free packs every week.

40k coins in the bank, 1,185 contracks stored up. The only thing I've used them on thus far was renewing coaches. I have lots of gold players with contracts expired that I can refill anytime I want (need) to take a game seriously.

I know I'll hit a wall once I reach Pro Journey/Gauntlet but by that time I should have even more coins in the bank and can start to work the AH to grab some skill position players that can carry me. That's the plan, anyway. That, plus getting 10 DC badges for the two free elites. (I have 6)

I have barely played this weekend but Im playing a lot tonight and tomorrow. Here is where I stand and my plans for the next few days/weeks.

79 OVR, 110k in Coins.
75 games into Journey, 5 out of 8 styles done (going to finish tonight), only like 3 rookie gauntlet done.

I am gonna finish Style tonight. My plan is to sell Romo and get some coins then keep Glover Quinn. After I'm done with the style, Im gonna grind out some gauntlet with my contract saving lineup.

If I get 40-50k for Romo I'm gonna buy some packs and try my luck. Or I could keep the profit and buy my favorite player off the AH (Julio). So I could buy 5 Pro Packs or keep the coins and put it towards upgrading my team.

I have like 20K and haven't spent a dime yet. I might do the 2-for-1 pro pack like bcruise did. My team OVR is like 72, maybe 73, haven't played since yesterday so I don't remember.

I'm currently led by 83 OVR Joe Flacco, 70 Bo Jackson/64 Dri Archer, and 74 Allen Robinson on the offense.

Made it all the way to the 2nd string of the All-Pro division in MUT seasons. Last two opponents I defeated have decided to message me telling me that I suck, yet they're the ones quitting when I take the lead.

I'm finally comfortable playing in man defense because of an improved secondary. Right now I have Stephon Gilmore, Jeremy Lane (underrated), and Jason Verrett as my starters at corner with Jason McCourty and ______ as backups. My safeties are Tyrann Mathieu and Eric Berry.

My play style is to ground and pound, so I've spent most of my coins upgrading my offensive line to help Todd Gurley out in the backfield. Though I pulled Greg Olsen in a pack, I decided to go out and purchase Dwayne Allen and Lee Smith, two great run blocking tight ends who can occasionally catch the ball when I need them to. And get this...EA has given me an elite Tyron Smith...TWICE! in the journey challenges. I wish I could sell one of them haha.

My line looks like this: Smith - Donald Leary - Ryan Kalil - Brandon Brooks - Jermey Parnell. To round out my offense I have Matt Ryan as QB and Jalen Strong, Odell Beckham Jr., and Kevin White as my starting receivers.
