I forgot about that one.   I remember it blew me away after playing a game.   I got my Dreamcast at a Gamestop and the guy behind the counter told me that he had people calling him saying it was the best game they've ever played.

Now we're talking.  Bought this on launch day and spent many moons with that disc spinning in my Dreamcast until 2K1. Running game was a little too tough and the passing could be annoyingly floaty (this was something they never really solved, although it did get better later on), but my goodness, it just looks like THE FUTURE after years of PS1/N64 Madden And the incredible presentation -- the at-the-time overlays that were influenced by the NFL on CBS and the amazingly natural-sounding commentary -- and animations, that alone justified the DC purchase price (that said, 2K + Sonic Adventure + Soul Calibur is an amazing next-gen launch day bang for the buck)

Yeah the Dreamcast launch RULED, and was even more surprising since they basically just launched the console out of nowhere.

Dreamcast was amazing.  I actually never played 2K.  My first one was NFL 2K1 - countless hours playing that game (R.I.P. Steve McNair).

I’ll never forget popping NFL 2K into my Dreamcast Xmas morning and my uncle walking in and being absolutely floored by the graphics. What a long way we’ve come

Dreamcast sports games in general were the most fun I’ve had. Maybe it was because I was like 14?

I think they were just a huge generational upgrade. It's why the PS2 was that era for me with sports games. Even going to HD did not feel as huge as going from PS1-style stuff to Dreamcast/PS2 stuff.
