    Would An Arena Football Type Game Be Considered Sim?

    It's not the NFL and their rules are different; would 2k be able to make a game like that? Or like the Fan Controlled Football League? How about a legit CFL game?

      I doubt they acquired the NFL license and NFLPA to make an arena game. We are getting an arcade NFL game or some type of card game.

          You kind of answered your own question, what would a non-simulation NFL license have anything to do with a game based on other players and rules?

          This and any number of other types of football-style games have been an option this entire time, if it made sense and they wanted to go that direction they could have.

              I think a somewhat arena style is possible but not really CFL. Arena league is not really that far off from The Yard in madden now and I’ve been suspicious that mode was added in response to what 2k is doing.

                  I do agree with this, when we first started talking about this I think we all agreed that something that wasn't 11v11 might fit the bill of what can be done.

                  That said, I also agree with the notion that it's highly unlikely they would have gotten the licenses they did for an arena league game.
