That's the million dollar question

They are going to copy Madden Ultimate team. That requires NFL and NFLPA licenses.

I still think it will be 11 on 11, and either Lego or Super Mega in presentation. It might babe 7 on 7, but I’m not sure that sells better than 11 on 11.

Both madden 64 and All-pro 2k8 could only do a season mode but didn't have a franchise mode

Makes me wonder if having a franchise mode is considered simulation

This is totally irrelevant as neither of those games were NFL licensed. The NFL cannot dictate what is or isn't allowed in football games that do not have a licensing contract with them. That includes game modes or whether the game is a simulation or not. They can only control what is allowed in licensed games featuring their IP.

As far as these games go, Madden 64 came out in 97. A full year before the first franchise mode was introduced in Madden 99.

All Pro could have had a franchise mode. They just felt it didn't fit their legends concept so they chose not to have it.

It's true. I play 2K5 all the time on my PC. Just played it last night actually.

All you need is a PS2 emulator, I recommend PCSX2. Download the ISO from Vimm's Lair, extract it to desktop, run PCSX2 and you should be able to select it in select ISO.

Only thing you need besides that is a PS2 Bios. Which you need to look up how to get and you need to do it 100% legit because if not it's piracy.

It would be great to see something at this point. I don't think a generic football game would sell. It's hard to fathom it's been a couple decades since NFL2k5 was released.
