Re: NFL 2K Playmakers Can't Be the End of the NFL 2K Name

Am I the only one thinking people are overreacting to this mobile game? I think people are forgetting that when this was announced that it was for multiple games, here's a quote from a CBS Sports article talking about the new deal.

"2K, the video game publisher behind the annual "NBA 2K" series and the popular "ESPN NFL 2K5" game, announced Thursday an agreement with the NFL Players Association to include more than 2,000 NFL players in multiple new football games starting in 2021."
So the fact this game released with little fanfare says this is ONE of the multiple games they have planned. Also let's be real, if 2K was releasing a console game, they would market the hell out of it. We would get teasers, pictures, dates of first info, etc.

The "simulation" license with EA ends in 2025, maybe I'm just being hopeful but what if the delay was due to the fact the NFL is going to open up the simulation license and 2K can now make a simulation console game in 2025? Would be cool to have a game this year, it's still possible given 2K does market the game much closer to the release date. So if the game comes out in August, the first we would hear about it is June. WWE 2K first info comes in January with a release date of March the past couple years so, hearing something in June would make sense if a 2K NFL console game is coming out in August.

So just want to calm everyone down, there's still time to find out if a console game is coming this year or not. We just got to believe... and I know it hasn't helped that 2K hasn't been able to say anything about the game. Still think it was better not announcing the agreement until 2021 or 2022 or announcing the deal when they have a release date and game to show the public.

your only hope is the NFL open up the bidding because if they do not EA is going to make a lot of $$ with College Football 25 will plob sell 4-5 mil copies

i have read intviews as long as goddell is the comm madden will be the football game

what u need is a new Comish and that is 5 years away and u would need to beat ea bid by a billion or so simair to the NBA contact

the only bad thing about 2k is the way they run a my team gameplay all of that is better than ea everything 2k does is pay to win online

EA is not much better on their my team but at least they dont make the best cards in the game impossible to get without spending 2k-3k money for it both compies are turning kids into gaming addicts congress needs to step in and ban mintotrancions
in they dont i couild see in 4-5 years ea or 2k not have fran modes

Anyone remember the hype from Ronnie2k when the news was made that 2k Sports had the arcade licence... no way just for a card game.

2k is such a joke now, hyping your fans up only to constantly disappoint for years now. How about selling your football engine to the guys at maximum football, let people that are actually doing something use it.

Code no longer usable. 2k wouldn't even be able to use the old engine if they wanted to. They would have to build a new game from scratch.

2k just did a survey online
Because they worried about 2k25 preorders
And one one the games they ask the fans is college football 🏈
I'm telling you right now college football hype got 2k shook😲 as they should be
If they would of tried to at least make a football game to combat college so NBA 2k can sale in peace but now it's all Eyes on college Football
Even Madden is shook👀👀👀 that's why they clout chasing off of college with that mvp bundle hope to get some suckers to buy blindly with less info I see right through that play from both EA and 2k

If the threat of a 2K NFL game forced Madden to step up, at least we got something good out of it. I must say that I really enjoyed the Madden demo and look forward to playing more in August.
I hope for a day where 2K comes back, but I am done holding my breath.

Wish I could say the same. I can’t stand madden. The line play is awful and the game is boring and repetitive. 1-2 games of the beta and its the same as it’s been 3,4,5 years ago. Hell, watching angry Joe play madden is the most fun I get out of that game lol. And by the posts on this forum I’m the only guy in the country not excited for college football 25 either

I’m just in wait and see mode with 2k. Can’t miss something I’ve never had. If I get a game fantastic, if not ah well
