    6 Questions about APF

    1) Does anyone know if the D-line "glitch" has been fixed? (The speed bursting through for an auto-sack every time problem)

    2) Has the corner money route been addressed (DBs react better)?

    3) I heard somewhere that you can create gold level players and they count as one of your gold picks, is this true? Could you take created players online? (Id like to create Ray Nitschke)

    4) Has the "funky butt" running been addressed (I couldnt really tell in the video)

    5) It appears there are still only 8 running directions, causing the "herky jerky" problem. Is that so?

    6) Was Jeff Thomas on "The Addams Family"? :y4:

    Lotta questions!

1.) Pretty sure that's been addressed.
2.) I would bet that the 'money' corner route has also been fixed, DB's are supposed to play more intelligently.
3.) I thought you couldn't take created players online... I may be mistaken though.
4.) I, personally, never had a problem with the running animation. I didn't notice anything strange in the GS video.
5.) Again, I never thought it was herky jerky, but I would imagine that if it were a serious visual concern, they would have changed it.
    6.) ... the hell?

      1. Yes
      2. Yes
      3. No created player online
      4. Yes, but they still run straight up..just not like you are talking about.
      5. According to people that played, this is the smoothest, best running game in a football game.
      6. Harsh. Larry Coker is the guy who gets that prize.

There's no herky jerky or funky butt. Running is amazing.

From the Gamespot vid it sure looked like limited 8 direction running was still the norm. On the Barry Sanders long gainer (which I believe was the cpu controlled team), once Sanders gets to the open field he kinda zig-zags his way up the field (due north, then directly northeast, then north again, then northeast) before two defenders arrive.

From an offensive p.o.v, that's not a big deal. It looks a little funky, but it's mainly cosmetic. When your playing defense, it's another story. Limiting movement to 8 directions can at times make it difficult to take a proper angle on a ball carrier, especially if your tapping away like mad at the same time.
