I looked for ratings all weekend and I can't find them. The only thing I can find is the text based stuff, can't even find player numbers. Is it possible it's all on the disc and not the save file?

Yep, I have looked the files over and over, and I can't find anything related to numbers and ratings. However, that doesn't mean that it isn't possible to change them or that they aren't there.

Is it safe to assume that one would have to be relatively computer savvy to work with a Hex Editor or is it something that can be learned by anyone?

I would say you would have be pretty computer savvy to know what you are looking at and how the hex editor works.

I would say you would have to be a employee of 2ksports or another video game company. Only they know the coding. I emailed 2k and asked for a hint and have yet to get a response.

It really makes you wonder why in the world this isn't possible in the retail version. And before anyone says, no they wouldn't be prevented legally from allowing typed in names of NFL teams.

I'm going to guess it's because they wanted to make 100% sure there was nothing NFL related to do with the game. They were not only covering their backsides, they were wearing fireproof underwear lol.

One of the guys got back to me and said that he hasn't had time, but might look at it in the future.

I'm probably going to try and figure out something cause we just can't sit here and do nothing when we could do something to make this game great.

I'll give it a look myself as well. If there is a way to put the in game versions of Rice, Montana and Lott together or the old Baltimore Colts and the 70's cowboys without tier conflicts then this is the only way I guess.
