Re: This game is still unreal!
Yeah, the thing I love about this game is it feels organic. After I play 10 games of Madden/NCAA I feel like I have seen pretty much everything possible in the game. I should note I have only played 4 games of Madden12 but well over 100 of NCAA12.MLB the Show - Cubs
2015: 80-82
2016: 96-66 - Lost Game 7 of WS (18 innings to Red Sox)
2017: 93-69 - Swept by Red Sox in World Series
2018: 100-62 - Swept by Dodgers in NLCS
2019: 14-11Comment

Re: This game is still unreal!
About 4 is all that is needed to play. I got it day 1, got about that far into my franchise and was bored so I sold. Then I bought it again on black Friday when it was super cheap at Wal-Mart and the same thing happened. I'm 4 games in to my 2k8 season, plus have played 4 games online against my brother, and every game I see something new. Not to mention I love being able to throw routes in the middle right as the LB turns to cover someone and has his back to me. I've missed those routes.Comment

Re: This game is still unreal!
You can take advantage of all defenders who have their back to you in this game when passing the ball, not just the LBs.
Whenever you can, always wait for the defender to turn his back and run before throwing to increase the chance of a completion.Comment

I loved the passing system in this game. You had to anticipate the WR's break and throw the ball before he made that dig or out cut. If you do that in Madden, the pass winds up being a streak or the WR just stands still and waits for the ball to come him.
You could also throw WR's open, which was a great tool to use if the coverage was tight.
The run blocking on sweeps and tosses was great.
I may just have to pick this back up for the 360 now. Game is a blast, both offline and online.Currently Playing:

Oh yeah, I meant this. Just was saying that I always had the most problems with throwing in the middle when I was playing other football games.Comment

Re: This game is still unreal!
So like I said in my original post, my brother and I recently got this game. Well, two of our friends also recently got it. Both have never played it before. One has been playing the M12 demo a bunch and the other owns M12. Both of them were trying to always throw on the run and were constantly getting frustrated because there QB wasn't accurate or they were always getting sacked (they were running backwards like 10 yards). Its funny how this game trains you to stay in the pocket and is so realistic that if a right handed QB is scrambling to the left, his accuracy/power is significantly affected just like in real life. The sim experience in this game is amazing!Comment

Re: This game is still unreal!
You can still scramble in this game, you just have to let the QB's dropback complete itself first so the pocket can form around him.
Then you read the pocket, and usually a hole will open up to the side or directly in front, allowing you to escape the pocket.
If you just pull a "Madden" and try to scramble right at the snap, you will get sacked immediately. Also, it helps to roll out to your throwing side, otherwise, you'll be throwing dead ducks.
It's a very realistic pocket/scrambling engine. Easily the best in any football game to date.Comment

Re: This game is still unreal!
How dare you say "In your opinion"?!?! You must not know S**T about football then. Go outside and run quickly to your left and throw across your body with your right arm, you won't be accurate. The passing in this game is YEARS ahead of ANY football game, even better than 2K5 with my 2012 rosters.
People say Madden 12 has better graphics than All Pro? HAHAHA WRONG! If you have a 1080p HDTV like mine and go to replay, zoom up on ANY player and look at how HIGHLY detailed and crisp the jerseys, socks, helmets, accessories, and football look. DEFINITELY the football!
The throwing animations, route running animations, blocking animations, catching animations, tackle animations (Madeen has some nice tackles too), the referee reactions, the dirt and grass chunks kicking up when they make a hard cut and when they're running, the slipping in the rain or snow, the kickers slip kicking the ball and falling as they kick in rain or snow, players having trouble cutting in rain or snow, the football is a wobbling duck when you don't set your footing (depends on how good the QB is), the double hit and gang tackles, the real time injuries, the challenging the play system, the thousands of plays to add to your playbooks, the WRs keeping their feet in-bounds, the RBs pushing off the blockers, the reach tackling system, the unique stadiums, etc. etc. EVERYTHING I NAMED just now ALL PRO FOOTBALL just COMPLETELY excels in. APF 2K8 has gameplay that will NEVER be touched! Period. No other game does 11 on 11 football as close to perfect as APF does it.
MY ONLY GRIPE is not being able to create and edit FULL TEAMS, each and every player on the roster. Also the PLAYERS ARE TOO SKINNY SOMETIMES. But my created players are PERFECTLY proportioned. The generics and the legends are all TOO SMALL....Comment
