    I just have a few questions for you guys with this mod already.

    Ive never owned apf2k8 and was just wondering....

    In the season mode do we only have the choice of playing with the 1 team we select or can we select multiple teams like in nfl 2k5 or play other teams games ?

    I also read there are only 25 teams in season mode . Is that info correct?

      Season Mode - 1 Team Playable with 24 CPU-Controlled teams.
      Head to Head Files - 8 Teams Playable (but no season).

          For those who were asking for "head to head" sliders, we used these in an online league many years ago and they worked out pretty well:

          Game Speed - fast

          Human Blocking - 25
          Human Passing - 25
          Human Running - 15
          Human Catching - 25
          Human Coverage - 90
          Human Pursuit - 90
          Human Tackling - 90
          Human Kicking - 25
          Human Fatigue - 27

          CPU Blocking - 75
          CPU Passing - 75
          CPU Running - 75
          CPU Catching - 75
          CPU Coverage - 90
          CPU Pursuit - 90
          CPU Tackling - 90
          CPU Kicking - 75
          CPU Fatigue - 50

          Injury - 100
          Fumble - 100
          Interception - 90

            Hey rate, what prevents these rosters from being used online? is it the team names? Would it be hard to modify and make a roster that just uses a default team name? Maybe the letter for the team? Something like the G's for the Giants?

              It looks like it freezes on the "resorting default rosters" screen when you try to go online.

              This may just be because there are too many created players left open in the file.

              The fix I had to do whenever I used to edit teams was to change all the player types from "05" (created player) back to "84 01" (default roster player) once I was finished editing the players.

              Basically, you have to "open" a player to edit him (player type 05) then "close" him (player type 84 01) once you get done editing.

              That tricks the game into thinking that all the players you've just changed are normal roster players, and then you can get past the "restoring default rosters" screen successfully.

                I'm very well aware of this. I leave the generic (84) open for people to edit in-game. If it freezes when you quit out of a season, it doesnt bother me.

I'm a realism guy and that horrific abomination of a game has ruined everything for me. Thanks to your hard work, I'm enjoying football gaming again.                         Are there other issues you ran into besides having too many CAPs open on the player edit screen?

                        As long as you stay under the default open CAP limit (I think it's 20?), it should let you past the online verification screen.

                        The other thing I've seen that can block you out of online is not having the right amount of stars per team (it has to be 11).

                            I'm playing a season as the Giants. It's amazing how much this has enhanced this game. I am back being excited about football gaming. Still seeing things happen in this game that amaze me. You, my friend deserve a job in the gaming industry.

                              Good news guys.

                              I went in and changed all the "05" players to "84" players on one of Ratesports head to head files, and like I suspected, it passed the online verification screen!

                              So I just need to test it out to see if it crashes during live online gameplay now.

                              Here is a download link to the file (you will still need to resign it via Modio):

                              MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.


                              I also gave all the user teams maxed out playbooks so you can run any play in the game and aren't stuck with the crappy default playbook for every user team.

                              Edit: I tried starting a game with Taz using the custom lobby and it crashed his system before we could even get to the team select screen. My system was fine other than the game telling me I couldn't connect to Taz.

                              Taz was using the default game rosters, and I was using the file posted above so maybe if we both had the same roster loaded it might work?
