And I say 'can't be fixed', yes. 'Improved to some small degree', sure. But that depends on the specific problem. The kicking game, for example, can't be fixed, period. No doubt though, some ratings edits may improve CPU QB play for example... I don't know, because I haven't tested that.
I agree with lot of what you said but the DB play and OL play is much better with performance EQ on. I actually started to like the game again after getting very annoyed with it and buying Madden again. However, the CPU QB AI is awful and I no longer find playing it any fun because of it.

I'm playing NCAA 2006 right now and it feels so good to have an opposing QB scramble against you and light you up for 400 yards once in awhile. Even Peyton Manning and all his weapons stink imo when you play against them in 2K5 which is why every game gets stale for me now.

You must have been playing against Peyton in a PLAYOFF game I agree: the difference with EQ ON is like night and day, and it fixes the DB problem by maybe 50%. Funny how there were still so many EQ OFF advocates last year, even after the EQ ON revelation. I actually switched back at one point to see if maybe I was imagining it all, but the game play with EQ OFF was so obviously inferior, I switched back again five minutes later.

Calm down I know who you are and well as far as being personal it wasn't intended to be disrespectful baa7 some people don't mind and actually call it repectful, candid, constructive critisim, keepin' it real and/or honest sorry if one of the aforementioned eluded you my apologies no harm or disrespect was intended.

I am also aware of what you have posted here during you tenure at this site and am always intersted in what you have to say and I am also aware of the fact that we may not see eye to eye on some subjects I guess you can chalk this one up as one that I disagree in terms of the game beng in such a dismal state as you've describe however you are intitled to your opinions baa7 and as always I've respected them.

And I do understand what people see or interpet what they see in this game I find it difficuilt myself to speak for such a mass audience there must be millions and theres no way I'd be able to speak for them all and I'm sure that those reading this post understand just what a very small minority we are so to many people this isn't really that big a deal when taken into account that the to majority even greater then "most" people or one among them ( That be you) is still in the "Minority" and most roster edits, slider adjustments and whatever findings discovered within the confinds of web sites go unnoticed by that other group of gamers...the ones not on the net or who don't have online hook ups they just don't know whats going on in here so to them these edits, issues and problems are of no great concern we're a "Minority" playin' the game the right way aren't we?

No harm no foul I'm just saying its not that bad, maybe a second look might revise your enthusiasim or not in any case we're just having fun baa7 thats all just havin' fun.

seriously, baa, find one post you've made in this forum in the last 2 weeks that has anything positive in it at all and i believe you've posted in every single thread, most more than once. the only people left around here are trying to make the game better so it's not even like someone is giving you reason to make your posts. it's like you just want to make sure your hatred is known in every thread.

like rickster said, i remember you being awfully positive but recently i just stopped reading your posts... they're all the same (not trying to jump on you, maybe you didn't notice that you've been doing this). sorry if this makes you want to jump on me. i won't even respond if you do b/c i'm not trying to start a fight. just seems like you don't even realize how negative you've been.

                  Re: CPU Passing AI

I think I found a promising solution my fellow 2K'yers!!! Using the editor i dropped ILB, OLB, and CB coverage to 30. I Upped all WR speed to 90 and all QB stamina to 85.

                  My sliders: Human/CPU

                  Blocking: 20/32
                  Passing: 20/32
                  Running: 20/33
                  Catching: 20/32
                  Coverage: 15/30
                  Pursuit: 20/20
                  Tackling: 7/16
                  Kicking: 50/50
                  Fatigue: 16/16
                  Injury: 13/13
                  Fumble: 13/13
                  Interception: 7/7

Just finished a game playing as the 2005 Raiders against the Vikings. Dante Culpepper went 22/36 4TD and 2 INT (Moss scored 3 TD's). I couldn't believe it but he actually went over the top of my cover 3 defence. First long bomb over the top I have seen in this game.

Will keep testing. Are you guys still alive by the way?

14 year bump, damn! But yes, still alive. It was funny reading through my posts literally half a lifetime ago.

I still have this game and bust out the original XBOX to play it once a year or so. I still feel it holds up. Obviously it can’t compare to ALL the stuff we have nowadays, but it hits a lot of the sweet spots.

I’m not sure this issue ever got resolved completely. At some point, I stopped trying to make everything perfect and enjoyed the game for what it was. Some games are ugly. Others are like a real NFL broadcast on Sunday. This game always and still has some magic in it. I wish we would’ve been able to see future iterations of it to see how they improved on everything.
