I have a couple questions regarding the roster and franchise files.

Can you play multiple seasons with the roster/franchise files? And can you play pre-season games with them?

yea , all you have to do is go to settings and you should see a bar that says preaseason games on or off and it is off automaticly if you are using FNG but you have to do this :

1. go to options
2.go to franchise options
3. go to preseason
4. switch it to ON if you desire
5. play the preseason

IF YOU WANT YOU CAN PLAY MULTIPLE SEASONS BUT THERE ARE SOME FRANCHISE SCHEDUEALS FROM THE PAST LIKE IF IT IS FOR THE 1991 SEASON OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT YOU CAN ONLY PLAY 2 SEASONS .... BUT YOU CAN GO ON BUT I CAN GET A BIT JACKED UP!
THE ROOKIES NAMES WILL BE LIKE " E30GKROS" AND STUFF IN THE SECOND YEAR SO IF YOU ARE USING CURRENT ROSTERS YOU SHOULDNT HAVE ANY PORBLEMS !!!

I know how to turn pre-season games on or off, I'm just curious if pre-season games can mess up a franchise or freeze the game an insane amount of times when using an updated roster/franchise file such as GR18, FNG, JSOU, etc.

So if I try running multiple seasons in, lets say JSOU 2008-2009 roster and franchise files, I would get weird rookie names and such? Would other problems arise as well?

well not in the current day rosters and franchises i have occured problems with the peseason but i think it is only with the first preseason of FNG'S franchise but he fixed all of that stuff .... but i think that the rosters and stuff from the historical roster makers are occuring problems with the futer preseasons ....

Hope you guys can help... I have been transferring rosters for a while with no problems, but just this weekend after not playing for about 2-3 months I ran in to some trouble.

Here is what is a happening:

I am using 20g HDD, transfer cable from MS, xport360 version 2.04, and a cpu with XP. (I have used this set-up too many times to count so I know it works)

Ok what happens is when I drop a new folder into the "5340030" folder on my hard drive it shows the folder copy on to it, but if you open said folder on the HDD after it has nothing it it... So when you load up 2k5 it doesn;t recogize it has a valid save...its an empty folder.

It should have the "xtra", "savegame.DAT", and "savemeta", and "file type" files in there.

What is happening? Does anybody have any odea why all of the sudden just the floder transfers and not the contents too?

I feel I have tried everything...

I deleted all 2k5 off of the HDD and started anew...
I have tried to move the individual files missing...
I have reinstalled xport
I went in in admin mode and tried

I will be bringing my work laptop home this week to try it on that.

Well I just called Xbox to see if I can get the transfer cable.I played dumb and said I just won a used Xbox 360 Elite off eBay, need something to transfer files on my current 360... yadayada. The tech support gal asked if the Elite is under warranty and I said no. When I said that, she immediatly told me that Xbox can't send me one since it's not under warranty. Let me tell you, my heart sank to the Earth's core when I heard that.

I tried to work around that, but she was being very adamant about not sending me one. Whatever.

So I'm going to simply buy a cable off eBay. Before I do, I want to double check and make sure that I buy the right one. Here is the link to the cable:

Dude, just try again. I had to try a second time and I got mine. Some of the people are a bit more naive than others, so keep lying and eventually they'll be asking for your address. Lol.

Well it wouldn't hurt to try again. I'm tempted to call back later today, but I don't know if that's too soon. Maybe I should just say I won a used 120GB HD instead of a whole Xbox 360 Elite console, eh?

I followed the all the steps to transfer the rosters, everything went ok. The last step say's to connect the hardrive load the game and go to settings. Is this the system settings on the 360 and if so where do I go from there. I started the game and it does not show the rosters I loaded. I am so close any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

No, not the system settings. Load the game up and go into Options, Click Load and your new roster should be showing there (NFL 09 roster if it is JSOU's) or FUNGUNV19a or something along those lines if it is FUNGUN's.
Hit load and you should be good to go.

I loaded the game went to options to load the 2 rosters I transferred but they do not show up. I connected my hardrive to my computer and checked with xport360 to verify the rosters were on the hardrive and they were. Any other suggestions? should I do the whole process again or I am I missing something. Thanks

I would say try again, it usually takes a few goes before you get it right. Pay particular attention to step 12 to ensure that you are dumping the roster into the correct area.
