Re: STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS: HOW TO GET LATEST ROSTERS ON 360
Hi all,
My first post here at OS. I just got my transfer cable and 2k5 in the mail today and wanted to transfer a new roster set. I have DL'd the files I need and installed them. When I connect the cable and the 20GB drive to my PC, the HD starts beeping at me. Is that normal? Nothing else happens. I have WinXP.

Hopefully it's the same for 7 and that helps with the drag and drop. Not sure about the folder not showing up though.Comment

Re: STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS: HOW TO GET LATEST ROSTERS ON 360
1st post here and VERY VERY glad I found it thanks to convince at the 2k forums. I followed your instructions to a tee and everything worked great. I am in the process of making substitutions and playbook changes right now to begin my first season with the 98 broncos.
I realized I have a lot of football to play considering I now have the task of playing every single download that is available. Should keep me busy until we get 2k14(hopefully)
Thx again, you guys are all awesome and I will be making a donation to the 2k5 rosters page to help keep it alive.
Here's to 2k5 football and a renewed sense of excitement to play it!!Fav's-Nfl 2K5, RB3(1000+ songs),Comment

Re: STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS: HOW TO GET LATEST ROSTERS ON 360
I'm not sure if anyone has posted this method, but if not, I wanted to share. This is what I did to get saves on the 360 slim. Sorry there will not be any pictures, my 2 year old girl washed my camera after watching me wash dishes a few weeks back and I've yet to replace it.
You need: Old 360 hdd, old 360 transfer cable, xport.
Take an old 360 hdd apart (I used a 120 gb from an elite system specifically). Four screws on the bottom, one of them underneath a microsoft sticker. Doing this voids your warranty, etc, etc.
Pull off the bottom and a bunch of springs and junk will fly every were. Four more screws to get the silver cover off the actual hd. Slide the hd out of the case, then pop off the sata to 360hole cable.
Take out 360 slim hdd, connect old 360 hdd cable to slim hdd, connect transfer cable to the other end (I have an official microsoft cable), connect to PC. For me, it works just like pre-slim hard drive. I use xport and windows xp.Last edited by crowblack413; 03-04-2011, 01:23 PM.Comment

Re: Is there anyway to use a Flash Drive
You have to either plug it directly into your computer or buy a USB-to-Sata cable. Keep in mind, this is if you're using the Slim 360.
Also, does anyone remember the setting you have to turn off to be able to drag and drop? I know you have to deactivate something but I can't remember.
Click the Start Menu/Windows Icon in the lower left corner of your desktop.
In the "Search Programs and Files" box, type "UAC"
(no quotes needed)
In the results shown, Under "Control Panel", click "Change User Account Control settings"
Move the slider down to "Never Notify" to disable UAC.
Click on “OK”
Restart your PC.--
Have you ever wanted to coach or play basketball at the next level, but something prevented you from achieving that dream? Fret no more. Ask me about SimWorld Hoops to see how you can create your virtual self, and follow your path from the prep-level to the pros.
