Is there a limit on how many saves you can have?

I was just wondering if anyone knows if there is a limit on how many save files you can have. I assume all of the roster makers have quite a few saves at any given time, so they would know better than anyone I guess. Right now I have 15 saves (VIP, settings, a replay, a few rosters, a few franchises, etc.), i'm getting ready to transfer 75 Historic teams onto my hdd, so that would be a total of 90 saves right there, plus I have a couple more rosters I will probably try also. After all of that I am going to attempt to start making Historic rosters with the History program, starting at 1960 all the way up to 2007. So after all of that i'm looking at upwards of 150 saves altogether.

I have the 120GB hdd on my 360, so space is a non-issue, but will the game allow and recognize that many saves or is there a limit to how many you can have at one time?

To those of you with a lot of saves, what's the largest amount of saves that you have had/currently have on your hdd?

I don't really have an answer as to how large the hard drive is. Do you have the option of purchasing a USB card ?, they're not only cheap (less than $20) but they also hold a lot of info..just an idea.

      ^you misunderstood his question

he isn't asking about HD space (even stated the size in his post)

he is inquiring on whether there is a limit on the number of gamesaves within the game independent of disk space

e.g. MVP Baseball 2005 XBOX1 only allows 3 or 4 rosters loaded on the HDD in its gamesaves folder at one time

Exactly puja. I know you probably have a lot of game saves. Have any idea if there is a limit? What's the most you have ever had at one time?

I know there shouldn't really be a limit on how many saves one could have, as long as they have the space. Like with Forza 2 I have over 500 saves, that includes tuning setups for each car, paint jobs, etc. The reason I was asking was because I remembered something that happened on one of the Madden's I had. I can't remember for sure which one, but I believe it was Madden '07, of course all of them could be like this. Anyway, what happened was I had 12 draft classes, but only 10 would show up in-game.

That's the only time I can recall ever seeing any kind of limit on game saves working/showing up in any game, but I thought I would try and find out if anything like that would happen in 2K5 before I wasted my time transferring all of these files from PC to my 360's hdd.

i have a bunch of memory cards laying around so those are full of historic teams

probably the most saves ive had on the HDD for this game is ~30, so i couldnt tell you if there is a limit or what it is unfortunately

Fire up the game; save the roster; save it again; save it again; save it again... etc., etc. You'll have the answer you need in after a few minutes, and then you can come back here and post it for us.
