i always will prefer sega sports games on the xbox for many reasons, so this isn't a big enough issue to force me to buy the PS2 version, as you can form your own leagues online, and it will be better with unified voice chat and broadband. Just like EA sports games are designed for the PS2, sega sports games seem like they are designed for the xbox controller since it is almost identical in some ways to the DC controller. Plus sega does good surround sound, will potentially be the only good online football game on live, the graphics/framerate will most likely be better, and with madden on ps2 I can't spare any more ps2 memory card space.

Why are you mad at Microsoft ? Of course they are gonna promote XSN for Microsoft first party title this year. They also said that next year any company could tag alone with the XSN networks. So next year we will have NFL 2k5 on XSN.

It's the same advantages for any system that's standardized:

                              1. Easier online implementation for developers
                              2. The quality can be better controlled by Microsoft
                              3. Less confusing for gamers who won't have to connect to and navigate through a bunch of individual networks

As I said, I'm more of a fan of developers creating their own networks even with these advantages.
