    2k3 doesn't feel right...ESPN a rental for me?

    I been on the Madden/NCAA bandwagon since the begining but after getting Xbox Live I want to give Sega football a shot. I bought 2K3 for $8.00 and have played about 4-5 games and I just don't have fun playing it.

    Should I rent ESPN to see if the improvements help the gameplay for me or should I have faith and just try to get used to the different game?

      Well, what were your problems with 2K3? If it was things like dropped passes, and lack of sacks, then you probably are safe since those are going to be fixed. If you didn't like the speed of the game, or the difficulty of the game and passing game, then maybe you should keep trying to get used to 2K3, or rent ESPN, as that might just be the style of game you don't like, which won't really change that much.

          Well, what were your problems with 2K3? If it was things like dropped passes, and lack of sacks, then you probably are safe since those are going to be fixed. If you didn't like the speed of the game, or the difficulty of the game and passing game, then maybe you should keep trying to get used to 2K3, or rent ESPN, as that might just be the style of game you don't like, which won't really change that much.

                  If I were you, I should. People that have the demo and beta versions of this game say that it's better than the full version of 2K3... the complete game will probably blow it away.

                              The passing game is just so much harder than Madden. That might be a good thing, I'm not complaining. The game is beautiful though, so I feel like I'll be missing something if I don't get ESPN.

                                          Football's always been the weakest of my videogame sports, since I've never actually played the sport.

                                          NFL 2k3, with its design of dropped passes upon quick hits (unless you're rated 98 as a catcher, like the Patriots' Troy Brown), ended up forcing me to learn how to read defenses pre-snap.

                                          I got better at it with one year of this game than in all the games from the first Genesis Madden through NFL 2k2 combined.

                                          There's no way to get an accurate impression of 2k3 from just four or five games.
