My only concern...STATS, are they correct this year??? please...

I really want the league leaders to be accurate. This is one area that damned Madden game always does so well is simulate stats. The NFL2K series has always had it's issues of stats. QBs not throwing at a high enough percentage, too many guys with 30 tds (just an example), RBs not averaging very high yards per carry, etc, etc.

I know these are small complaints to some of you, and surely gameplay is more important, but these really concern me as I'm someone who's been looking for perfection, and the 2k series has been close. It sounds like all of my other gripes have been fixed, and now if the stats are on, I'll be in heaven.

    Anybody know? Thanks in advance...

I really hope that this issue has been adressed as well. It would really solidify the franchise in ESPNFL.

Man, we have to be twins, because we think exactly the same way when it comes to 2k gripes . Judging from the Demo that MMan has and the stats that he posted, IMO that Sega still has alot of work todo in this area, i hope everything turns out okay before release

Re: My only concern...STATS, are they correct this year??? please...

I feel ya brother! Honestly, stats were closer last year then ever, and if they're the same, well, then I'll take it. Some of the gameplay gripes like lack of my AI stopping the CPU pass, and no sacks, and the strange jump for ball by the AI DBS are certainly more important. But, really, stats should be there too. I NEVER see that gripe anywhere, and no review ever mention if they're ever fixed. We always have to buy the game and find out.

So we'll see. I want the game to be adjustable to be the perfect difficulty, and sliders have done that. I wanted the super tackle reduced a little bit, they've done that. I wanted all the AI stuff, and all the review point to them fixing that, so it sounds like it's down to stats for me.

Perfection is such a difficult thing, but dang it, I want it. I can tell you this, there isn't a more fun football game out there, and that's why NFL2k3 was good. It felt like you were on grass getting dirty. Every game was hard and you had to fight for everything. When I finished a game of NFL2k, I felt like I'd been through a fight, literally. That's how football should feel. I felt like I was there, belting out orders, and if I didn't do my job as middle linebacker, they'd find me everything. This is football, and Visual Concepts' game does it right.

Now, again, let's see the stats baby....

Klue are you saying that so far it doesn't look good for ESPN to having accurate frachise stats?

Also, if the CPU is getting inflated stats, then couldn't we just lower the sim quarters down?

But after reading your last post it seemed that MMan's stats were ominous about the franchise stat situation...
