First person mode...multiplayer?

Will first person mode be a single player affair only? If it is multiplayer, how can two users play? Split screen, system link?

I've heard it's playable online, but otherwise I think it's single player only.

Another downer is the fact that first person is a separate mode altogether, so you can't start a normal game, take a couple of snaps in first person, then go back to a normal game. Once you start a first-person game, you're locked into that mode for the duration, so you better get used to it.
