I have one thing to add. While they didn't make separate positions, you can use on-the-fly subs to change what side guys line up on. I believe it is effective this way for WRs, TEs, CBs, Ss, DEs, DTs, ILBs, and OLBs.

This is cool for my Ravens, as they line Suggs and Boulware up on rotating sides for blitzing purposes. Great stuff...

There is nothing wrong that setup. I do wish that a player from another position could be put in the depth chart though. Like lining a saftey up at CB. Or a Outside LB at ILB. CB don't actually play on a left or right side its strong and weak side playing both sides depending on the play. Plus WRs don't always line up on the same side all game

You can do that according to the OS's Jeff Thomas interview, or maybe it was Greg Thomas or someone. Go check it out. It says that you can globally sub people to different positions, but here is the catch, there rating will go down accordingly. If you put your QB at RB his rating might go from a 90 to a 60. I heard that from the guy at FBG.

Along this same topic, have they created a roster position specifically for RBs and FBs this year?

I haven't owned one of the NFL2K games since I owned a dreamcast. It used to upset me that after the first year of a franchise, all of the CPU teams would have their 2nd HB trying to be a lead blocker. I was considering get this year's game for online play and roster updates.

Yes - HB/FB are separate positions. As are FS/SS/CB (wheras the 2K series originally had "DB"s where 1 and 2 were Cb, 3 was FS, 4 was SS, 5 was nickle, and 6 was dime). Also there is a separation between ILB/OLB.

This was also fixed in 2K3.
