Probably. The 'Bill Parcells" in the game has as much ability to shift his depth chart as the real one.

Look around the NFL - depth charts change week-to-week. Heck, Spurries changes his QB depth chart every quarter.

      Yes. You can.

But after that point, the CPU coaches can adjust their own depth charts. The starting roster is just a place to start from.

yeah, I am not worried about it. I didn't make but a few changes to the depth charts.

yeah... Hutch will be starting. I've testing things out for about 2 hours last night. Couch ended up starting, James Stewart...ect.. This is only in franchise though. The computer should put in who they think is better (ratings) but it wouldn't be that big of a deal if when we controlled all teams they had options per team to sign players, draft players ect. Like I said before, this option was in the beta to do things per team and not a overall franchise option.

If you start a franchise, make sure you turn owner firing off if you plan on editing depth charts for the next year, if not leave it on and it will be one or more less teams you have to worry about in later years.

When you go into the offseason you can just sign the players you want on your team, then hit start and have the computer finish off the other teams.

Next is Free-Agent Wire. Well I guess you can offer the players you want and they'll end up signing with you, but after you find the guys you want, you have to offer a pretty good deal to sign them quick or else you will waste days. After you're done, you have to go back in the options and set it to auto sign players.

Scouting report you can set to auto or you can go scout for your team, but you'll have to skip for the other teams once your done.

Then you move on to the pain in the butt. The NFL draft. Well you basically have to pick for every team. I guess you could do a couple rounds and then sim the rest, but I'm one that will do the whole draft and edit all draft classes.

Now to sign rookies.. you can go sign your team. After you're done just have the front office finish off the rest.

This will bring you to the pre-season.

I'm not too worried about it either... and if there is someone starting that is REALLY bugging you then just take 5 minutes to bump down their ratings. There is a line between game and reality that the developers need to create, and there is just NO WAY to please everybody.

I will be playing my franchise as the Miami Dolphins. If Fiedler is really sucking it up I not going to keep him as my starter just because he is in real life. Heck pretty much as soon as the franchise starts people are getting hurt, traded, and cut anyway so I don't let it bug me. If I wanted to control everything then that is what season mode is for personally.

Man....after reading all of that, f*** this. I think I might just go in and make a list of the crucial starters and just make them better. Examples would be.. Holcomb over Couch, Gary over Stewart, Zereoue over Bettis. I'm not going through all that. I've yet to play a game, havint this for a day now...and I took off work.
