Yeah, clicking the right stick, then the direction you want to shift your players is much easier than having to hold the black or white buttons and push the right stick at the same time. I just push the white or black button with my right thumb and shift the right stick with my left thumb. It isn't a ploblem when your playing the computer because it takes its time hiking the ball, but I was playing my uncle earlier today and he caught me a couple of times trying to shift my db's up. Sometimes you have to push the right stick down three times to get bump and run coverage.
Am I the only one having a problem with the Db and Lb adjustments?

In the demo the had a perfect setup for adjusting your db and lb coverage before the snap. You just clicked on the right stick for each and move the left stick to adjust. Now the manual says hold down the black or white button move the right stick, which is damn near impossible to do while playing the game with your left thumb on the left stick. Am I missing something here? pleased tell me I am.

You were not the only one southkak. I noticed that immediately when I started playing it. If you didn't have to hold the button down it wouldn't be as bad. Having to hold it down forces you to play twister with your fingers and the right stick. I've learned to adapt, but I think that scheme was conducted with the PS2 controller in mind. I also think they wanted the user to have immediate access to each group on demand rather than having to click 3 times to access the DBs.
I don't know for sure, but the PS2 probably uses 2 of the 4 large buttons to do this which is a lot easier to manipulate.
If you still can't get used to the new controller set up, I think Pellikan designed a wireless controller for the Xbox. I'm not big on wireless, but it does have the black & white buttons above the L/R triggers. This is the closet incarnation of the PS2 controller on the X that I've seen. With this controller you would be able to manipulate your lbs and dbs without having to play twister. I've seen it at circuit city, eb, and gamestop for about $35.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
