Re: Coach mode sliders? (should be a new topic)
capa,
I agree, we need a sticky for coach-mode slider issues. However, I must say that I really haven't had a problem running the ball in coach mode. Last night James Stewart picked up 98 yards on 24 carries against Arizona. Of course we were playing against the Cardinalss so that may have alot to do with his success. However, I was also very, very deliberate in my run selection. I tried to find mismatches on the O-LINE and I ran betweent the tackles most of the game because that is Stewart's strength. On a few occasions I tried to fool the defense with quick hitters outside and it seemed to work because the CPU Def. AI does try to adjust to your tendencies.
Also, I would look at your "coaches gameplan" sliders. If your passing game is ok, bump up these sliders in favor of the run. This feature really does make a difference.
If better play selection and playing with the coaches gameplan doesn't work, then we should talk about sliders. But, so far, through 2 preseason games and 1 regular season game, my rushing attack with the Lions has been realistic. Not great, but realistic. Of course this could change, but for now I'm satisfied. For the next few games just keep repeating to yourself "keep the defense off balance, mix it up, and run to my strengths and their weaknesses".
Good Luck -
