Yeah...coach mode holds up pretty well I think. CPU runners still a bit too "pinball-like" at times, but overall a good representation of NFL football...and I haven't seen any money plays in coach mode. You really have to mix up your play calling and stay away from patterns.

I really think there are a lot of out there that play only coach mode. I too am 30 something, and have never been a thumb jockey. 2k3 was fun for me because of coach mode. Madden coach mode is uneffective because it wasn't designed to be played that way. Anyway, its great to hear from old coachers. Sure hope more baseball games have the coach mode in addition to asb2k4.

Yeah I love it too, but sometimes I get frustrated and want to take over on a key 3rd down or something and I have to tell myself "NO!!!, I'm a coach"
On demo camera it soes look like a TV Broadcast I hope they have an owner mode next year too, and keep making it more and more real.
I hope they drop fpm and focus on realism. Or just leave it the same, their time could be better spent on alot of different things.

I guess for all of us who are not "button mashers" madden LOSES! I'm getting this game as soon as I can scrape up fifty bucks. I've got madden on PC, waiting on the patch to fix the "dumb QB" problem in coach mode, but I first bought it on PS2. VC may have just found another fan with this years game. BTW, are the simmed game stats realistic, or are you seeing guys with 25 tackles in a game, like I saw last year? I had last years game, and I simmed a season just to see the stats, (and get to the draft) and the top three rushers in the league had over 2200 yards, there were four or five guys in the league who had like 200 tackles, very unrealistic.

You don't select the camera option from the camera selection screen. You have to go to Controller - choose sides I believe it says. Select that and then put both controllers in middle - controlled by cpu. Then go back to game for one play. Then go back to Choose sides and put controller back on your team so you control now. Back out of menus to game again and all set.

It is not controlled in camera selection screens...only choose sides.
