Beakin Tackles Question/Problem

For some reason the CPU is gettin broken tackles left and right.

I was playin the Dolphins and Ricky Williams HAD to break 1 tackle per carry, seriously no exageration. He really did break 1 tackle per carry, this [censored you naughty boy] pisses me off.

What can I do to stop this?

use the sliders

i think, from some posts i have read, that if you hold down the tackle button when you hit the ball carrier you have a better chance of taking him down. Not sure if this actually works though.

Yes, it does work. I do this all the time and I only let up about 6 broken tackles a game.

Yes, it does work. I do this all the time and I only let up about 6 broken tackles a game.

Lower Running and Raise Tackling in your sliders and problems will be less. Big backs will still break some(especially one-on-one with a DB), but not as much.

start with all pro sliders...take computer running down 3 notches...maybe 2....i tweaked some other stuff...but that's what i did as far as breaking tackles go...its perfect

I agree with all poitns, here is what I did, because Ricky was killing me also.
1. knock the cpu running sliders down about 3-4, I use 2 on All pro and I can stop the run.
2. Change the game speed to fast, defense reacts faster.
3. Use Zones and double teams to help stop him, Williams is a monster on the field and is tough to stop.
4. USE THE STRAFE TO SQUARE UP FOR YOUR HIT, IF YOU HIT SIDEWAYS YOU WILL GET BURNED BY A STIFF ARM OR JUKES. HOLDING THE TACKLE BUTTON DOES WORK ESPCIALLY IF CHARGED.

I held Williams to under 100 yards in 3.5, then got greedy and he tied it with some nice moves and I guessed the wrong direction on the play. The run is tought o stop in thsi game, but if you have a good D it can be done.
