I realize that we are all still basking in the 2k4 glow right now and having a great time. A couple of posts have given me an idea for next years title. DEVELOPERS, PAY ATTENTION!
How about brand new segments of commentary as you advance in Franchise Mode? Here is what I mean.
You start a Franchise and begin playing on Pro level. The game keeps track of whether or not you played every single game yourself, or cheated and just simulated every game. If you simulated any games during the season, your new commentary will stay locked. Only a Super Bowl win with your Franchise will unlock the commentary. If you make it to the playoffs and win the Super Bowl on this level, you now get to advance to All-Pro level. This in turn rewards you by unlocking a whole new season of commentary! Now when you play All-Pro throughout the season, you won't hear the same comments and embellishments that you did on Pro Level! Same thing goes with Veteran and Legend levels. This would be a sure way to keep the game fresh season after season! Of course it would require a TON more commentary time from the people who portray Dan and Peter.
