Canceling Hot Routes

Once you assign a hot route to someone is it possible to cancel it ? If so, if you assign multiple hot routes is there a way to cancel those as well?

I believe (and I could be wrong) that if you hit your audible button and the white button (probably L2 PS2) goes back to the "original play".
