    Fumble recovery bug??

Just wondering if anyone notices this? When I play quick games (havent started Franchise yet) and a QB fumbles and then its recovered by an offensive player, they immediatley whistle the ball dead. I had my QB drop back, he fumbled and a offensive player grabbed it with nobody around him and the play ended. Has anyone else come across this? Is it also true in Franchise games?

Sometimes this is the correct rule. Inside 2 minutes of each half the offense can not advance a fumble.

I believe this is the correct ruling.

An honest mistake, but before you go assuming things YOU MUST know the rules of the National Football Association

          Now eat Crow

          4. On a play from scrimmage, if an offensive player fumbles anywhere on the field during fourth down, only the fumbling player is permitted to recover and/or advance the ball. If any player fumbles after the two-minute warning in a half, only the fumbling player is permitted to recover and/or advance the ball. If recovered by any other offensive player, the ball is dead at the spot of the fumble unless it is recovered behind the spot of the fumble. In that case, the ball is dead at the spot of recovery. Any defensive player may recover and/or advance any fumble at any time.

A couple of times, I have seen offensive linemen pick up a fumble and run with it. I don't recall what down they happened, but I do remember that they were before the minutes exception kicks in, like in the middle of the second and third quarters.
Obviously they don't get very far being the slow monsters that they are.
