Has anyone gotten any bites by putting players on the block?

Im in my second franchise season with the bears, went 15-1 and won the superbowl first year cause i played on pro and switched to all pro this year and am currently 1-3 (but fresh off a victory ). But anyways getting to the point. In the second year of franchise some teams have some pretty decent room under the cap 15 pr so million on 1 or 2 i believe.

I threw up urlacher on the trading blocks for a few weeks to see if id get any offers, then put up kordell cause he was pissing me off, and have 2 young back up offensive linemen. After 5 weeks now I havent gotten a single offer and all the CPU has up are kickers and punters. Anyone get some decent offers from the CPU?

Also, Kearse and another bad *** DE are available on the free agent list, You would think the CPU would pick them up on the teams with more cap room (arizona is one of them i think and god knows they could need help). Anyone else have any experiences with this stuff?

Havent initiated a trade before. But I did simulate a franchise season, and the CPU traded most of my good players for a few bad ones. I was pissed. I really dont know how that engine works, but Drew Bledsoe for Jake Plummer is not really a deal...

I put Bettis up and got offered WR Bryant and someone else. Since I'm good with my WRs, I removed the players and put in their 1st Rd Pick. They countered by wanting Bettis and my 1st Rd Pick for their 1st Rd pick since they were 0-4 at that point and I was undefeated. I pulled the trigger since I have Zereoue starting and I was wanting to move up in the draft to possibly get a QB or maybe a top notch CB.

I'd figure the Steelers would want a backup RB for Amos since Bettis is gone, but I guess not with your 1st rounder. How about a Lineman, how are they there?

Re: Has anyone gotten any bites by putting players on the block?

I've found that the best opportunity for getting interest in players I have on the block comes in the preseason. At the beginning of each season, I decide on tradeable players and put them up on the block. Since I usually only manually play one preseason game to check rookie performance and sim the rest, what I do is sim each preseason week one at a time, checking the trading block after each week. I've gotten some pretty good activity this way everytime I've tried it. Usually, once the regular season starts, CPU trade interest dries up completely, unless you dangle franchise-type players.
