Surround sound for the PS2?

Does anyone know if this game is in surround for the PS2? The options only have stereo and mono as selections. I was really hoping to take advantage of surround with my system, especially in first person football...

Hate to burst teh bubble man, but the PS2 cannot output surround sound in almost all games. It has DTS surround in a few, but the majority are stereo.

He's right, I have a PS2 and you just get the pro logic and not 5.1 for ESPN anyways. Some games I did get 5.1 intermittently though.

He's right, I have a PS2 and you just get the pro logic and not 5.1 for ESPN anyways. Some games I did get 5.1 intermittently though.

I just remembered seeing EA SPORTS has a bunch of games out that uses surround. Well, DTS for a few of them.
Wishful thinking for this game.

I should get an XBOX hehe, im sure that will output huh? eh but i know i wont buy one though. too much money to be spending.

Actually...heh... I believe it does do 5.1 ok in single player. Online, however, it causes the game to crash when you quit.

I have a receiver that can handle PLII, so I have it set to stereo so I can play online... still wish 5.1 worked right. Sux.
