    Injury quirks

Has anyone else noticed weird things with the injury reports/players playing?

For example, Second week of the season I got an email that Brett Favre had a broke nose and would be out six weeks. Before I played the Packers (I am the Bears) in week four, I checked the injury report and Favre was listed as out. But when I played the game, he was starting.

Ok, so Favruh gutted it out. I can dig that.

But then I got an email that said Sam Cowart broke his hip and would be out 28 weeks. He was playing again in three weeks.

    Huh?

Finally I had RW McQuarters get hurt. Email says seven weeks. I make a trade to get some CB help. Go to play my next game and I notice #21 on special teams. I was like, WTF. So I went and checked the depth charts and Mc25 was fully healed.

Has anyone else noticed weird injury things like this?

I remember WSB having some weird injury problems too.

Anyway, just thought I would mention it.

Hey good to see another Bears fan out here... I have just started my Bears franchise and McQuarters got hurt in my pre-season(out 11 weeks). So I went into my depth chart and put him at the bottom before my first regular season game against SF and he did not play. So I have not seen any quirky injury stuff yet but will be on the look out.

By the way, just finished my game with SF. It was almost a carbon copy of the real Week 1 this year. I got killed 38-10. Not only did I lose the game, but Kordell was sacked 5 times and on the 5th one he did not get up. He is out for 20 weeks with a fractured arm...I have got some thinking to do...

I noticed that when my franchise team hit it's bye week, that all of my injured players become healthy after it. No big deal, cuz the only one injured beyond that week was only out for 4 weeks. Maybe the bye week speeds up recovery time? and or maybe it's a bug?

I haven't played far enough into my season to witness this issue for myself. However, I have one more game to play before my bye week and have two players out. I'll check it out and let you guys know tomorrow.

I also have seen reports of people hurt durring preseason, but they are fine when the opening day comes. Like I've said before though. ESPN now has an awsome game to touch up for the next few years, like madden has had for a long time.
