Anyone think this game cheats?

Anything higher than the Pro difficulty, it totally screws me over.

It's nearly impossible to complete passes. The computer intercepts balls they have no business intercepting. The ball sometimes magically transports itself from my receiver's hands to a defender's. I rarely have more than two seconds to get a pass off. The glitch-like way my receivers have their progress impeded by a defender while going after a pass is really pissing me off. If it's late & close, there is absolutely no stopping the computer's miracle drives. And I will be picked-off or lose fumbles, guaranteed. A fat defensive lineman named Ekuban ran down a sprinting Mike Vick from ten yards away, for crying out loud. And he did it many times.

This game is such a letdown for this stuff, and I can't believe I haven't seen any other posts mentioning it. Doesn't anyone else have the problem?

Are you sure you're playing ESPN NFL Football??? I've never had any of the issues you're talking about.

i see you have some frustrations.....well i only agree with you on the interception issue...
n yes the speed does seem out of wack at times,rendering the speed stat invisble at times....deal with it............it could be your not good enough yet..all-pro plays fine to me..with the ocassional cheat look..

I am fairly new to this game but I never had the porblems you seem to be having. My major issue is getting sacked. I scramble but the linemans seem to be to quick. I learned that throwing passes to covered receivers hoping to get something out of nothing, leads to ints. I rather take the 5 or 6 yard loss to get another chance or punt it. Mixed it up. Dnt go for those tecmo bowl style "run back 25 yards and chuck it 60 yard" pass plays. Make sure you take a look at the defense before the snap and right after. You can get a good idea of what they are playing and who is blitzing.

To avoid getting sacked, drop back and then move up in the pocket when the outside linebackers try to turn the corner to get you from the outside....I would say I get sacked an average of once every 20 or so games.

Another option instead of getting sacked is throw the ball away. If you're outside of the tackle box hit the black button to have your QB throw it away...much better than taking the sack!
