Is it me, or does the "Double Team" option not work?

During a game, you can pause it and go into the defensive matchups. You can then select for a WR you are playing against to be double teamed by your defense. I click that option on in some cases, but I never see the guy get double teammed. How do you get it to work?

It only works when you are playing man-to-man defense. Two guys won't shadow the player though. The safety on the double-team side of the field will simply slide over to help and concentrate on that player.

I like the way it works because no matter what you do to top players like Harrison, Holt, etc. they still get 100 yards receiving a game. You should never be able to use the double-team to take out a player but rather just slow him down. Usually it only really helps on the deep stuff.

Actually, a manual double team is usually more effective.

YOU know that not every playbook has man to man defense. Someone is always playing zone and when you have a double team it still won't work.

I know this because I play with the Chiefs defense. There you can't double team with anyone.

prove me wrong by telling me which play to use.
