this is the one case in the game where you have to control your own drop back. don't know why they'd make it that way for this ONE time so if for that reason alone i'd say it was a mistake. if you watch the line and see the ends taking those very wide approaches just control your QB and drop back a little farther and the Ts will pick them up. then you probably want to step up into the pocket.

it's a frustrating thing for people trying to learn the game new b/c the best strategy is let the cpu do the drop at least until you get comfortable and then here it is that letting the cpu drop for you doesn't work.

but that's an easy work around that works pretty good. not perfect but does the job.

Al be it i will admit that i am new to ESPN and i am probably not used to controlling the pocket in ESPN. It is still no reason to see DEs just run around tackles who dont even lift their arms. ive seen this happen many times and i am sure there are ways around it but for the sake of realism, and for the sake of those who are switching from madden to espn i hope they adressed it

Thanks WWHorton, i will give that a try. i usually take control if im getting blitzed or feel pressure coming, but its still a little frustrating especialy on crucial posessions to go 3 and out because of the glitch. i think the shove animation doesnt kick in when it should allot of times. i still hope they tweak teh blocking A.I. for those various situations. I really hate following my full back out on a sweep, the full back is heading straight for a LB all he has to do is throw a block and I can turn the corner, but instead he doent engage and goes and throws a block on someone else. no big deal occasionaly but itjust happens alot. Im not knocking the game, just hope VC "reads and tweaks" thats all..........
