At least ESPN is only $20 this year, so your total bills may even out somewhat...

In any case, what's wrong with the existing "Simulate To End" feature if you can't finish a game? This is only for Franchise mode, but still useful if you can't complete a game in one sitting. It doesn't break your momentum from having to play one game in two different sittings either. Just turn off injuries before you do it and you should be fine.

While I can see why in-game save would be nice to have, I honestly don't believe it is necessary compared to all the other new stuff being put in. In my experience with Madden 2003 / Madden 2004, I never really used in-game saves anyway. Thus for me it is not necessary.

who cares how long it takes... if for some reason you have to leave during a game, just leave your xbox on until the next day. I do it all the time.

If your problem is having friends over... well time it better next time before they come.

I don't think it's a must to have in-game saves. On most my games if I have to leave in the middle of a game, I just leave my XBOX on and pause it. Most of my games have the in-game save option, I'd just prefer to leave the XBOX on instead of having to load everything back up..That's just my opinion though.

That's crazy, man. Probably not good for your system. Also, what if you want to save and play the game a week later? Are you leaving your Xbox on for a whole week? What if you want to save the game so someone can play a different game?

I'm really hyped about ESPN, but let's not kid ourselves. They should have an an in-game save LAST year. It's a big omission for a lot of people, like me, who don't have a lot of time to play, but like to get the right amount of plays.

As a grad assistant, it was practice NEVER to shut the lab computers off. This way they could be accessed remotely from off campus if need be. I'd say the longest stretch a computer was on in my lab was about 3 years. I wouldn't recommend this for an Xbox though - one of the computers in my lab had it's hard drive become corrupt, but that was one computer out of 3.
