    720p on x-box?

just got a 51" hd and was looking to upgrade to x-box a couple questions

    1. Is espn in 720p or possibly 1080i(drool hits keyboard)
    2. for those who had both versions last year how much better is the x-box version graphically superior than the ps2.
    3. Does the dashboard in the new versions already show in 480p?
....oh I forgot to mention...i am making the switch from madden for the first time.......

    1) There is no support for 720p, only 420p, which has been confirmed in the weekly Q&A sessions.
    2) 2K5 was designed using the xbox hardware as the primary platform. The difference between the two consoles is night and day.

Im a 3 year HDTV owner. I just made the switch to XBOX. last month I bought the XBOX version of 2k4 & have been warming up to it since. To be honest, not only are there better graphics...there are even more animations. I have been seeing animations that I never did see in the PS2 version.

The controller is my only gripe with the XBOX & thats because I've been rocking the playstation since it's inception. I am getting used to it though. I am thinking about getting the controller with the B/W buttons at the top.

The XBox graphics ability make you feel like you made a leap from playing 2k2 to 2k4. This year should be even better.

as for 720p...VC decided last year that this feature would hurt frame rates with all of the action going on at the same time in football. I wouldn't worry, the crystal clear graphics will not let you down...especially this year.

Flawless - I made the switch last year to an HDTV and right away noticed textures and details that are non-existant on SD set. You will be in heaven playing 2k5 this year regardless.

You can get a LIVE update (without even having LIVE) that provides a 480p dash if you Xbox doesn't already have it. If I remember correctly, you just hold down the triggers when you turn on your xbox and it will switch to 480p if you have the updated dash on your box. The box will remember your settings so the next time you turn it on it will be in 480p automatically.
