So it has been confirmed: NO Accelerated clock, but stat-tracking...

I like the LB tackles during the season, but when I saw how many catches the WRs had I don't think anyone had 100.

I might be mistaken, but doesn't the NFL during a regular season have a few who get 100+ catches???
Also, I wanted to know that the CPU punt/kick-off returners averages during an entire season are good as the users. I usually lead the league in this area and don't make the probowl. Looking at the screenshots, They only showed averages. James Mungro had one return for 27 yards....we need to know who the league leaders are in this area and if they are capable of having similar numbers and us.

    Just a minor quibble.

Too bad about the accelerated clock, but at least the stat tracking seems to be good.

What's this accellerated clock thing? Does it mean that you have to play 15 min. quarters during your Franchise for optimum stat tracking in the simmed games?

The problem with the clock in videogame football is that videogames tend to run faster than real life. Madden compensated for this by using a faster clock. That way you could play 15 minute quarters and still run an appropriate number of plays somewhere in the ballpark of an actual NFL game.

No, accelerated clock is when you pick your play with 33 seconds to go on the play clock or more and it will automatically "accelerate" to 20 seconds when you get to the line. It's just so there aren't 300 plays between the two teams during 15 min quarters. They give realistic stats and gameplay, if you like NFL Style stats. Accelerated clock is also turned off in Madden at least with 2 minutes to go in each half. I think it needs to be off with like 5 min to in each half. Who says, by the way, there's no accelerated clock?
