I got the automated call from Gamestop/EB Games, saying it would be in tomorrow and also a friendly reminder to not forget to get the strategy guide!

I stopped in EBGames and they said they are driving in to Schaumburg, IL to pick them up at 5, so they will have them in store ready to be picked up at 7pm. BTW, I live in Rockford, IL....

Hmm. I live in Lockport/Orland Park and my EB keeps saying Wednesday.

I pray they go and pick it up tomorrow. My guess is that GameStop will, but not EB - just my luck.

Have faith in EBgames. I live in the boonies of McHenry, and got NCAA2005 Monday Night. My guess is the same thing will happen like it did last week. Someone from EB will drive out to Pick it up and get it in the stores on Tuesday Night.

Ive started ordering online for big releases because I hate driving all around town hunting for the game when its supposed to be out and nobody has it. even with preorders ive had bad luck getting games on the day they are supposed to be out. so basically buying locally has just left a bad taste in my mouth and I figure ordering online at least Ill know when its shipping etc etc.

I have bought a dozen games from EBgames.com and never once had a problem. It's called customer satisfaction. I don't have an EB within 45 minutes and the closest Gamestop is 30 minutes from my house. I personally like to get the game the day it is released. With EBgames.com, I always get it the ship date or the next day. How could I argue with that? I also have a job that I go to at 3pm. I don't really want to spend my day driving around. I get the game the same day as any store in the country or the very next morning after so why would I want to stop buying online? Also, I don't have to deal with the Zelda, Star Wars, Halo bunch at the closest game store. I really hate going into a store and asking them if the have a sports game or any game for that matter, and them looking at me with a blank stare. How can you call yourself a man if you don't like sports?

I personally have a much easier time ordering my games online vs. going to a store to get it. First of all, it seems like every store gets games in at different times. I don't have the time to go driving around town on some goose chase. Not when I can order it with a few mouseclicks and have it delivered to my hand at work the day after it ships. I work every single day, usually at least 10 hours. The last thing I feel like doing when I get off work is driving in the middle of traffic to the mall (which of course is the only place where a Gamestop and EB are, which are the 2 places that get the game the day they should)and have to wade through the hordes of little punks.

It does cost a few bucks more (even moreso now that EB charges sales tax), but the convenience is more than worth it to me. I have ordered around 75 games online and not one of them arrived any later than they were supposed to. Works for me.

Personally, I find all of this to be very entertaining & a great read when I'm on line. Just seeing everyone's anxiety is quite hilarious. Granted, I live in DC/MD area but I have never had a problem walking in a store on the day Madden/NCAA/ESPN is released & just buying the game then. No pre-order or nothing. You guys just get a kick out of the possiblity that you might get it 1 day before a few others. That is hilarious in itself but if it makes you feel good, then keep doing it & I'll keep reading your posts.
