This isn't a bug on your end, a game bug here.

If you look at the body types (at least in the ps2 version, maybe an xbox guy can double check) the game switched extra large and large. In game you'll see that extra large body type is actually smaller than the large body type.

I tried to tweak it by changing the 2K4Options.ini file, but it didn't get the results I wanted. Any insight would be appreciated. If it can be fixed with the options file or if it's it deeper than that.

Just to be clear, are you saying I need to switch the body types around because the actual game has them backward outside of my editor entirely? So if you change a player's body type in-game from large to extra large, you get large on the field and vice versa?

Yeah, it's not your editor's fault at all.

The game has XL and L backwards. In the player editor screen you can see this pretty clearly, especially with lineman.

Okay cool. I'll check to see if an options tweak will do it alone.

If not, then it's a quick fix in the code.

So wait a sec, you're saying you want the editor to show "Large" when the value is really "Extra Large" because the game has it backwards right?

I think so? Haha, sorry the more I think about the more confused I get.

The problem is when you do the auto body type thing in the editor. The big guys who should be XL, should actually be Large. The game has XL and L backwards.

Large = XL
XL = Large

So the scale should be; skinny, normal, XL, large

Ok I'll flip the values behind them. They will stay the same in the gui, but behind the scenes they'll be reversed.

So it will be skinny, normal, large, xl in the editor.

I'm guessing that's only for the 360? My PS3 copy is collecting dust. Great game, just the lack of modes kind of killed it for me. Awesome that you're doing an editor for that game though!

I guess that just shows us how bad we want 2k football back.

We're willing to do all of this work to upgrade these older games to give something back to the community.

I need help. When I try to load the file in the 2k4 editor, the file is not there. I copied the save to my max drive and the extension of the file is in .max format not .dat why is that? Do I have the wrong flash drive. This flash drive works with finns editor for 2k5.

You need the ps2 save builder to extract the BASLUS file from your max file. Then in the editor, when you try to load, from the dropdown make sure you choose "all files" instead of dat and you'll be able to load it up.

I've been working on a roster with the help of Javo's editor, so if anyone wants to help me test it a bit, let me know. It'll probably only be for the PS2 for now. Got 5 teams done and I've been having a ton of fun testing it. After playing 2K5 for so long, 2K4 feels like a brand new experience. I've actually seen a mishandled pitch, which led to a fumble and even a late hit penalty on the o-line. Seeing new things all the time.

Anyway, let me know if you want me to post it. Still tweaking things, since 2K4 plays a bit differently than 2K5.
