Some of you should be ashamed

The game comes out over a month earlier than it should and you start crying about stuff you can fix yourself.

Remember no rosters are set and players still have to prove themselves. NFL camps haven't started.

Downloads are now controled by VC instead of Microsoft. They can add more patches faster. I think they concentrated on gameplay first then franchise.

Could it be players ratings drop because you are not using them right, your weekly prep was not sound or just that player just lost it? It happens in NFL.

Treat this time as a beta test period and thank VC for early release and point out glitches respectfully. If you can quit a game after two days you should have rented it. Give them aleast until Oct to fix things and buy a book and get helpfull hints to make shure its no you. There are things I don't like that I might rate this game a 9.4. I rated 2k4 8.8 and I played it until this came out.

You should be here in Philly where they are complaining about a fence being marked a few feet wrong like a player's stats is going to change if they change the number

Up until now 2K/ESPN came out on opening day. EA started releasing Madden earlier because they saw how good NFL2K was on the Dreamcast. So they figured by bringing Madden out early on the Playstation it would keep NFL2K on the Dreamcast from cutting into their sales. Remember Madden2000 was still only on the Playstation. There was no comparison and EA knew it. SO ever since then EA released Madden earlier than 2K/ESPN. For the past 4 years Madden has never had their rosters completely right because of releasing it early. 2K/ESPN on the hand was only missing maybe the last cut since it was done only a week before the start of the regular season. Last year was no different and people said VC can't let Madden keep having a 3 or 4 week headstart or they'll keep having problems selling their game. Well now that VC listened to everybody and released their game early people are complaining about that. VC just can't win for losing. Damned if they do or damned if they don't.

Sure I'm a little concerned about some of the ratings and positions of the players but VC has to list them what they are officially listed as of the print of their disc. Will some of this change between now and the start of the season? Sure but VC can fix that with downloads. VC will be able to put players in their right positions and even have the photos of players who are currently missing their photos included in their roster downloads. I also wouldn't count out the option of putting a roster save on the demo disc of the official magazines of both consoles for people who can't get online for the download.
