Here is our final 08 roster rating adjustments. I will periodically release roster updates about once a month or so. This file has a lot of minor tweaking in the ratings as well as playbooks, and also includes %'s of play formations for the CPU. I actually Won the Super Bowl this year with the Colts In our official 08 season going 14-2 and beating the Saints in the end, in the best game I have ever played. 49-42. They had the ball on my 43 with 1:03 left. 3rd and 1 I stuff em, it becomes 4th and inches. If they get the first that would have likely lead to a game winning field goal since I only had one timeout. So they go for it on 4th, my D steps up again, I then go down the field and score with about 12 seconds left to win. They also jumped out to a 14-0 lead and 28-17 at half. The best and biggest game ever. It was kind of cool to win the first Super Bowl I played. Manning was the MVP, and we did use the -25% formula which made the season very hard. I was the only one of 7 to make the playoffs. Just finished another season with a buddy I was Carolina went 11-5 beat the Saints in week 17 to win the South but lost to the 9-7 NFC West Champion Cards. It was raining like no other, and I had 3 fumbles in the first half along with a couple bad throws due to my O-line deciding not to show up. He (TB) went 4-11-1 weird I know the whole tie thing. He told me after the game he didn't know that games could end in a tie, lol, just kidding on that one. Enough about me, Here is the 08 Final roster, and my final 08 Franchise file as well. Try our settings with the -25% formula to have these play correctly. Enjoy

Never done this but -25% formula? can anyone go through this or is it easier than it sounds?

also how comes the stats are waay overrated..

for example Kurt Warner has 119 pass accuracy!! surely the max shouldn't exceed 100

Read through the forum, These ratings are need unless you want Warner completing 22% of his passes. The game play is what these rosters will give you. Add in the -25% formula and you have the most realistic, challenging roster set out there.

I wont have an update out there for a little while, due to it being a slow time in the league and a lot of other projects going on. One being a game I just found that I think is a great game. It's MLB 2K7 for the 360. After my slider adjustments this game is too much fun. So of course I have started on a roster editing rage with this game. I will be back to make '09 rosters for the NFL, but have other things going on right now, as stated before.

Hey JSOU,

I have a quick question for u? With your sliders and adjustments, have u corrected the way the QB just hurry ups and throw the ball into like 3 defenders? I hate the way the QB doesnt show patience in the pocket and just hurry up and throw the ball. I think the way the game is set up, is that the QB already have the predetermined reciever and regardless of the coverage, he just throws the ball to him.

I know sometimes it feels as though the pre read of the qb is already pre set to who they will throw to. Our settings along with the -25% forumla really helps the qb play as well as the rest of the game. The key is the -25% for pass coverage and run coverage for soley your defense.

is that for human-vs-human, human-vs-computer or computer-vs-computer? I like to watch the game sometimes, so have u tried that with just the computer playing? Is there any sliders that help with computer vs computer games u know of?

This is our 2008-2009 Roster file and settings. I also included a franchise file (with the new schedule of course) for those of you that can't wait to play an 08 season or franchise. Also I just wanted to say that for our rosters to play as we intended them to play you need to use our settings. For better players you can turn the pass and run block down, or if your not as skilled turn them up a couple clicks, but all other sliders should be let were they are. This update includes the following:
1. We used gettyimages.com for game day photos. In doing so we achieved about 96-100% matches for player skin color as well as all player equipment. This makes our roster look beyond real. This took about 2 hours each team.
2. Thanks to 500bloc and puja, we used combine numbers such as 40 times, bench and vertical jump to update players as far back as 2000. We still kept our ratings in all other areas just used combine numbers for those three areas.
3. Free agency updated as of 5-12-08 (Greg Spires to Oak not done), though he is a free agent so you could just add him to Oakland if you like. It is still really hard to with free agency still in progress to know which players won't be re-signed.
4. 2008 NFL Draft, rounds 1,2 and most of three as well as some big name rookies and other rookies that were needed to build up some rosters were also added. Rookie ratings are obviously not done to a tee, but are fairly close. Combine numbers were used, but fine tuning will happen at a later update, once player movement comes to a close we will add more rookies as needed.

JSOU, great NFL2k rosters man. Keeping NFL2k alive, I love it. I just had a question, what is the difference between loading your roster update vs. your franchise roster update? Do they both have the same exact rosters, or is one more up to date than the other? Just curious as to what the differences are?

The franchise file is up to date as the date it was released. Roster updates I would say are the most up to date roster file.

oh I see. yeah, i've just been playing your franchise mode. it rocks!

question though, would I be able to import players into the franchise mode or no?
