Re: How many are still playing 2k5

I recently bought the game again for the PS2. I have a slim PS3 and no Action Replay so I am doing the rosters myself from scratch. In between making players, I play the game in practice mode to see how they handle.

I have Madden 11, but I'll be trading it in on Tuesday for Black Ops. I'm done with Madden until they either get a new development team, and by new development team, I mean a new development team, not just hiring a new Lead from within the existing group and keeping everyone else the same, or they totally redo the game from the ground up. Anything less will just yield more of the same.

I have been playing a lot of APF with NFL created players lately as well. I also have Backbreaker, but I have given up hope of a second patch, so I will probably get rid of it with Madden next week.

2013 can't get here soon enough.

I know this if off topic but how are you able to APF2K8 with NFL players?

No matter how good of players you have on the field, if the game engine is pathetic is still doesn't matter. I cannot wait for info from Ronnie on a new 2k football game.

          Gaming hard since 1988

I have won like 25 Super Bowls in Madden so I am kinda a big deal.

Here is a link to a post I posted in the APF forum:

            http://www.operationsports.com/forum...-roster-8.html

It contains links to all the info you need to make NFL teams and players in APF. Scroll down to about the half way mark of the page.

I still play it....and will continue to play it until 2K Sports comes out with a new football game. I'm done with Madden. I'll be selling my copy on ebay or amazon.

Been playing it for 7 years now. I think I'm the most devoted fan to 2k sports in general. Been playing the game since the day it came out.

You don't need a max drive to get the rosters on your ps2. Just buy a max ps3/2 mem card converter, http://us.playstation.com/ps3/access...cph-98042.html dl the ps3 rosters ( someone converted them ) and just transfer the file to your ps2 using the converter.

                    Thanks for the info.

Not sure if I will go this route though. I read the user reviews on Amazon, and it seems that some had trouble going from the PS3 virtual memory card back to the physical PS2 card. Couple that with the fact that it's $30 for something that I'll likely only use once, and it seems even less attractive.

Doing the roster myself will take a long time, and I'd rather not have to, but at least I know it will work, unlike with the adapter, it doesn't cost me anything (except a **** load of time obviously lol), and once it's done, it will be much easier to update the next season, if I continue to play it.

I appreciate the info, and who knows? Maybe I get fed up and break down and buy the thing lol.

                    Thanks again.

Sim football never gets old to me. Until a superior game is made, I'll continue playing 2k5.

Still playing 2K5 using the 2010 ps3 roster. I've got a FPF franchise going using the Ravens and Rams. I need some really good sliders for FPF mode though. Still having fun, and it's the only game where i can have a defensive struggle and lose and enjoy myself. I'd like to get an updated roster with Vick's ratings updated.

It definitely works. I use it all the time. And your screename rules, he's my favorite sports player of ALL TIME. I have his jersey and a poster of him in my room.
