    Fully customizable NFL simulation

Looking for a fully customizable NFL simulation, text based is fine. Not looking for any kind of franchise mode necessarily, most important is being able to fully customize lineups for head to head play for a project I'm working on. Fully customizable schules for season play would be nice, but not a necessity. Everything I'm finding is running a team in an existing league. IS there anything where I can customize the league and control all teams, or simply control individual H2H matchups? Not interested in running a team.

Action! PC Football 2011 is probably what you are looking for. I just got the game through download Sunday morning and my brother and I have had a blast playing it online (although i needed help getting the proper gateway to play online).

Here's the link Action! PC Football

Several classic teams including college are available and each player and team are fully customizable. You can create an online or offline league with as few as two teams in one division or as many as 168 teams in 18 divisions as long as you have the teams to do it.

You can have great games against the CPU or quick and accurate CPU vs CPU outcomes.

The ratings inputs (from 1-10) are Run Block, Pass Block, Run Defense, Pass Defense, Pass Rush, Durability, Rushing Style (), Breakaway, Short Yardage, Kickoff Distance, Kick Return Adjustment. That and the overall season stats impact the players performance. For Example Rod Smith of '98 Denver has a Breakaway rating of 7, while teammate Ed McCaffrey rates only 1, but Ed's 64 receptions for 1053 yards and 10 TDs gets him an overall receiving rating of 9. QB pass performance is strictly based on stats for that season.

Feel free to throw some questions at me.

I would say PFS (Pro Football Simulation) sounds like what you are looking for. It's fully customizable, but text based.

This game seems heavy on franchise-I don't think he's going in that direction.

I've been looking for something close to OOTP Baseball. I love setting up a league and watching it grow as a commisioner. Every football game i've found u have to control a team. Any games out there like ootp?

PFS has a sandbox mode where you can control any/all/none of the teams. It also has the ability for you to import schedules if you're trying to re-create a past season. And it has an exhibition game mode where you can sim a game between two teams without impacting season stats, etc.

I use sandbox mode all of the time to sim leagues from 1970 all the way to 2010 just to get some league history built up... career stats, season records, all-time records, hall of fame, etc.
