Re: Tecmo Bowl MMO? YEP! It's Called Gridiron Heroes
Weeman is right. Super-simple to install and play.
League play is tied to 14 or 16 teams and offers progression.
If your FB friends have the game installed, you'll either be grouped into the same league together (if joined in offseason) or you setup grudge matches between each other.
Your franchise moves to different leagues or tournaments based on performance.
Private leagues are an expansion being looked into but will not be a part of the main game. You will still play and build your team through the normal method but would be able to play in a separate private league with an optional handicap setting.Comment

The game is exactly this. When we launch p2p live, it is indeed optional. It will just be an extension of the main game.Comment

Yeah, I actually don't mind it being focused on team management. The key IMO is to have a lot of depth in that department. If that is achieved, and there is always interesting decisions to be made for your team, then the game will be great.Comment

If a "mixed competition" exists and a clear advantage is found with the "motor skill" player that could be a problem.
How will this compare to Quick Hit in terms of a monetary investment? A lot of those guys put in well over $200 to build a team.Comment

Does that mean there will be an option for a strategy only game or could I be competing against a player who uses pads and sticks while I don't?

Opt-in leagues, daily grudge matches, etc - There are no details because it's an expansion yet to built, but know that they are very different. The core of GH will always be the simulations.
You never need to pay to progress through the game. As for balancing, that will be determined in the upcoming beta.
Players are randomly generated and distributed per team. Teams will be evenly distributed determined by an overall attribute count (think points.) This way one team isn't full of scrubs and one team if full of studs 'randomly.' You have the chance now to create a specific player - name, attributes, position, etc when backing the Kickstarter. You can make this player a stud /5-star as well. This is a beta-only option.Comment

I did not know people would spend that much on QH! To be honest, I didn't care for QuickHit much at all. So much potential, yet so little delivery.Last edited by davefmurray; 02-29-2012, 08:19 PM.Comment
