I'm surprised the Sim Standard radio guys didn't ask Damon Grow how many people are on his development team. The answer to that would give you a pretty good indication of what platforms the game will be on.

I think that screen shot is a good indicator that this is a mobile game. It looks good, but doesn't compare to any screen shots from other sports games on the consoles. I'd love to be wrong tho.

Personally, I think that's on par with the current generation of consoles, it's just a different art direction and style than we're used to seeing from a sports game, but a pretty nice one I might add. The detail and clarity is excellent. The player model proportions look fantastic in my opinion.

That said, I think this is just promotional CGI and the actual game may not look like this.

I think this is CGI as well. I was referring to the Texas stadium shot. That one is nowhere close to the hd images of other console games.

Yeah, that one is more XBOX 360/PS3 era, but you know what? I'll take it!

I think process of elimation and common sense has to come into play here. Lets look at the facts, and the info they have released

1.They said they have dynamic weather. Do we really think they would care bother about putting that in a mobile game/tablet game? I sure don't think so.

                2. joe monatana tweeted out #notjustarosterupdate that's a direct shot at madden.

my personal opinion is the game is a console game if it was a mobile game there wouldn't be all this secrecy the nfl probally gave them a date when they can talk per the contract they have with ea.

It's extremely unlikely that it's an NFL game. In which case, the NFL has no bearing on what Joe does with it. I think what we see from the little promo is what we're going to get; a non-licensed football game starring Joe Montana and I'm perfectly fine with that.

If the customization is robust and the football is at least fundamentally sound, I'll be content.

Why do people keep settin themselves up to be let down? This is not about to be an NFL game. If it were they wouldnt have even put the information out like that. Dudes gotta snap outta this NFL trance, thats not coming yo. Just hope for a good football game.

Screw the NFL anyway, they dont even care about us. Look how they left us out here all these years.

I'd be inclined to buy a non-NFL game than an endorsed one. Burning scars of a troubled past and a desperate future haha.

I hope it is a generic game. I don't even want an NFL football game.

Lets be serious. Looking at how the NFL forced EA to strip decent things out of their game because it didn't project the right image for "the shield", I think it's legitimately fair to say that a non licensed product not limited by the NFL could actually simulate the professional game more realistically.

Illegal hits that get flagged. Guys losing helmets again. Taunting and fighting/jawwing between players inbetween plays. Just a few examples of things we see EVERY sunday that will NEVER be in the EA product.

The op has a screen shot of Texas stadium, you can read Texans in the end zone using the same font the Texans do. It has to be an nfl game if that pic is legit. EAs license doesn't include mobile games.

The most logical conclusion is that this is an nfl licensed mobile game.

Yeah, the Texans pic raises some questions, but by the same token we've seen renderings of licensed things over the years that were just prototypes and proofs-of-concept. I remember an ex-EA dev posted some prototype player model screens of a CFL game he was planning, with CFL teams and CFL stadiums, but he didn't have the CFL license.

If it's a mobile game then the chances of it being an NFL game are more possible due to the lower barrier of entry on that medium.

I'm not getting my hopes up for NFL stuff. I'm just chillin. A lot of times what we think is gonna be one thing turns out to be another, so Im chillin. Ive been let down enough over the years with these NFL rumors. Even that Texans pic is not gonna make me take it there, because that pic was never said to be in the game, that just look like work samples. Can't jump to conclusions so early yo.

As long as its football and its good, then Im good. I dont care about the NFL anymore.

The real question is... How do we know this isn't an NFL game being developed for when EA's NFL exclusive rights contract ends? I mean the only reason why I'm questioning that is because of the Texans Stadium screenshot. So maybe the exclusive rights on consoles ends next year?!
