So you expected this, but when it happens, you're disinterested? Ok... Anyway, it still hasn't been proven that it is not NFL. The Airship images with the captions have not been proven false, and this could very well be a screenshot of custom teams.

I thought that too but I had to blow the pic up some. When you blow it up you can see dude on the far right has the same greenish logo.Comment

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
With JMF 16 being unlicensed, they can have a solid foundation to take to the NFL and go, this is what we can give you in terms of a video game compared to Madden. Also it would give them time to work out kinks and bugs so IF they somehow did get the NFL License, it would really be able to compete with Madden down the road.Comment

I was just thinking the same thing. Those chicken wings appear to have some meat on them now.Comment

Not having it licensed isn't a bad thing necesarily. Without NFL and NFLPA licenses they aren't constrained by the NFL approval policies and have more freedom in creating the game.Comment

Thanks, just on my phone so maybe not the best shot. Helmet still looks pretty funky to me though. Maybe just the angle.Comment

I think "The Troll" may have forced their hand. Not sure that's a good precedent to set, but it's nice to have something at this point.Comment

Dude, you're really setting yourself up for disappointment. i get where you are coming form but you're really reaching here. If this is truly a release by a small startup shop, then the license is out of reach financially any how.

Yeah, there's a ton of blur, between motion (can see this especially on QBs foot) and depth of field, think the of colors are a product of that and the lighting/shine on his helmet.Comment

That being said, this shot is encouraging to me, so hopefully we get more info and media soon.Comment

Looks great to me! This screenshot, could be from an early build, and they probably do have the NFL license already! It's tough to believe in any picture/screenshots anymore! ie. EA's NBA LIVE 14... remember that setup of smoke and mirrors! I am hoping for a console/PC game; but I will have to wait and see.
That jumbotron doesn't have any recognizable NFL logos, so I hope the game is fully customizable.
Go Joe!Come and check me out; you just might see yourself in a video or two!

Re: Joe Montana Football 16: First In-Game Screenshot?
I don't know what this game is going to turn out to be. But I wouldn't rule out the NFL if Microsoft is involved. If this turns out to be a Microsoft and PC exclusive, I wouldn't think money would be an issue. As we all know the XB1 is the official console of the NFL. At this point who knows? who cares? we MIGHT have competition BACK!
Isnt that what we have all been screaming for?

In one paragraph you say they probably have the license but in the next you say it's hopefully fully customizable?
I don't think the two can coexist.Comment
